[ OpeN sEasOn ]

I just watched a movie recently with CK on sunday at Toa Payoh Entertainment Centre.. we intended to watch Happy Feet at 7.00pm.. but to MY disappointment.. my daddy was late in coming home.. thus CK went ahead to check out the rest of the movie at a later time.. in the end.. we caught Open Season at 7.45pm.. =)

I LOVE THE SHOW.. another cartoon that is screening in the cinemas now (of course the other one is Happy Feet).. it was hilarious.. but I am still quite keen to catch Happy Feet.. Jam was just telling me the other day that the show is super nice.. n I am a cartroon LOVER.. so I suggested to CK that we could bring Kelly n Junior to watch Happy Feet together.. hm.. tentatively only.. because we dun have the time.. haha..

I got the synopsis from Cathay's webby.. I strongly recommend this movie to those parents who have no idea what to do with their children during the long Dec holidays.. haha.. it will keep the children entertained for at least one and a half hour or so.. pls buy popcorn to bribe the children to remain silent throughout the duration.. wahaha..

The Movie Poster

Synopsis of [Open Season]

In the tranquil mountain town of Timberline, Boog, a grizzly bear with no survival skills, enjoys an idyllic existence. He spends his days as the star of the town's nature show and his nights living a life of luxury in the garage of Park Ranger Beth, who raised him since he was a cub. Every town has a bully and Timberline's is the paranoid uber-hunter, Shaw.

When he drives into town with Elliot, a scrawny, fast-talking wild mule deer strapped to the hood of his truck, Boog is moved by Elliot's pleas for help and against his better judgment, frees him. Elliot follows Boog home, intent on returning the favor by 'freeing' Boog from his garage 'captivity'. He introduces the bear to a world of sweet temptations he has never known. But when the bear's true instincts emerges, events quickly spin out of control.

Right.. hope u wil enjoy the show as much as I did (IF you are gng to watch it, of course!).. cheers.. =)

[ ReTrEat foR mYseLF ]

I am looking forward to my retreat.. since CK & I are not planning to go overseas this holiday season.. we had booked a room at Marina Mandarin Hotel to celebrate Christmas together.. another hotel that I am quite keen to try.. I surfed the net for info on a number of hotels.. but most of them are way over the budget.. the room rates sky rocketed during the festive season.. on the average.. each room costs ard 200 to 300 bucks in the prime zones (eg. Orchard.. Marina area.. Chinatown as well).. others jolly well exceed the 300 dollars for a night stay.. wow ho ho.. =)

We are paying S$230.77 the room ONLY.. of course it is expensive.. but I guess it is worth it.. the room promises a good view.. plus we are checking in ard the christmas season.. that was like one of the cheapest I could get in that area (as compared to Pan Pacific.. M Hotel.. blah blah blah..) the room looks good as well (only on the net.. I have yet to see the room yet.. another 2 weeks to go).. cant really wait.. yeah!

Treat it as a weekend get-away before I go back to work again.. seriously.. I am beginning to miss my kids.. was telling CK the other day abt it.. and he was like saying I kept on telling him that I need a break desperately when I was in school.. n now that I am having my long holidays.. I am saying the reverse.. haha.. WOMEN.. either u get it or u dun.. haha..

I havent been blogging much recently.. not really motivated to do so.. I wonder y.. hee.. doesnt matter I guess.. yup.. I got some photos from the Marina Mandarin's webby.. I pray that what I see is EXACTLY what I am gng to get.. haha.. grins!

Right.. I gotta go.. have a good week ahead.. no more monday blues (BECAUSE monday is over).. haha.. cheers.. =)

[ wOw wOw wOw ]

Just woke up from a LONG sleep.. I fell asleep ard 1am and woke up 12 hrs later.. haha.. I must be super tired.. had a relatively busy schedule this week.. so its time to recharge (thru sleeping).. cheers. =)

Knocked off earlier than usual yesterday (ard 1.30pm).. decided to take a bus to VIVO city for shopping.. I spent a whole afternoon relaxing by myself.. after looking at the VIVO city directory.. I decided to go to Coffee Bean for lunch (honestly.. I miss the egg ben).. praying that there is wireless connection.. so I can surf the net while I park myself comfortably at Coffee Bean.. to my disgust.. I need to pay S$6.00 for half an hour of usage when I logged onto their STARHUB network.. I quickly disconnected.. packed up and left.. bleh!

Felt like taking a fag.. so the only available choice seems to be Coffee Club which has a smoking area.. right.. I didnt exactly enjoy the fag.. who likes fagging under the HOT SUN at 3.00pm? NO ONE.. that includes ME! I ordered a Crepe Mushroom for lunch.. I was starving.. I didnt eat anything the whole day.. and it turned out to be GOOD.. I LOVE IT.. the sauce tastes creamy.. and the mushrooms are my favourites = SHITAKE!! haha.. I gobbled it down before reading my novel for a while.. the heat was really getting to me.. I decided to get the bill and go to surprise my papa at work.. =)

I went to shop for light snacks to bring to his office.. in the end.. I got him the Ya Kun's Kaya Toast (which CK HATES).. the Taiwan 'Ji Pai' from Shin Lin and a cup of Iced Soy Bean Milk from Jolly Bean.. haha.. that is called 'LIGHT SNACKS'.. Papa was so surprised to see me.. hehe.. he was having a conference.. so I waited for him to finish before we can go and join my mama at Chinatown.. he didnt take very long.. abt 15 minutes.. wow.. I must be lucky.. haha.. =)

We went to find my mama and Marlyn at People's Park Complex.. they were apparently shopping for some shampoo and body foam.. all the way downtown just to buy them.. dun we have them at Giant's (IMM).. strange.. but mama insisted that the prices are cheaper here.. I mean dun bother.. unless u stay here.. because the transportation costs will cover the so-called cheaper prices.. although I am not a business student.. I guess I dun need the background knowledge to know this simple theory.. but I was quite amazed to find that the Complex had been given a new look.. I remembered People's Park Complex as an old and run-down building.. but now.. it looks bright and well-ventilated.. plus the boutiques there sell fashionable apparel.. bags.. shoes.. almost equivalent to Bugis Street and if not better (the prices are really cheaper here).. that means another new place to satisfy my crazy shopping needs.. grins!

I sent my family home.. and took a short rest at home before I went to pick up CK at UOB Plaza.. I miss him so much.. muacks!!!

I went to Toa Payoh for dinner last night with CK after work.. we bumped into Phil there.. what a nice coincidence.. we havent really meet up with Phil for quite some time.. so the trio decided to have dinner together.. we strolled over to the 'sui jiao mian' kopi thaim (with the intention of eating my favourite 'sui jiao mian').. and the stall is CLOSED.. what luck.. in the end.. CK and I shared a bowl of meatball soup.. we were both not hungry.. he had taken an ENORMOUS potato pie for afternoon snack while I ate the Taiwan 'Ji Pai' with papa.. catched up with Phil over dinner.. he seems to be doing fine.. and he even bought himself a t-shirt that read 'WHAT I WILL LIKE FOR CHRISTMAS IS 2 GIRLFRIENDS'.. haha.. see.. he is just comfortable being himself.. =)

I didnt have to work on every Fridays.. so here am I.. blogging away.. haha.. was browsing thru the Xiaxue's blog when I came across these photographs taken by Geoff (I rememeber that was how his name is being spelled.. apparently his charges for a day is S$15,000.. no kid ya).. these photographs caught my attention immediately.. I guess I know y is he so popular.. =)

Do you recognise her?

Interesting right?

Milk oozing out like that?

Nothing to do on a boring Friday evening.. I am DATELESS.. haha.. what shall I do??? I know.. do what I am best at it.. EAT N SLEEP!!! wahaha.. have a good weekend.. cheers.. =)

[ McDonald's = I'm LovIN' iT]

Just knocked off.. surprise isnt it.. I am suposed to be on my LONG ANNUAL LEAVE till next year January.. but I had decided to work part time for my finanical advisor as a personal assistant.. try a different job perspective.. cheers.. =)

Today is my first day at work.. still trying to get used to it.. basically my job at IPP is to handle the never ending paperwork.. enter the database.. make calls to underwriters & insurance companies as well as prospective clients for Pauline (my financial advisor).. to add on.. I will be working with another financial advisor, Aaron as well.. I havent met him yet.. he didnt come to the office today.. most prob.. I will see him tml.. my work partners will rotate between Pauline and Aaron for the next 4 weeks for so.. but I am beginning to enjoy my job already.. ppl at IPP are relatively easy gng.. approachable and WELL GROOMED.. plus I saw a CUTE guy today.. haha.. motivation to go to work.. right I was just kidding.. CK gotta be the CUTEST one ard.. grins!

I am waiting for CK to knock off.. at Boat Quay's McDonald's.. got for myself a Ice Lemon Tea (Regular) and a Corn Cup (4.5 oz).. the paper on the tray caught my attention.. I was reading through the info when I got a shock.. for BIG BREAKFAST.. the total grams of FAT you actually consumed is 30 (which is equivalent to one day a person's healthy/ideal intake of FAT).. that means if you decide to eat the BIG BREAKFAST in the morning.. you can practically starve yourself the whole day.. unless you belong to those 'bamboo' category.. that you can afford to consume as many grams of FAT as you LIKE.. unfortunately.. I belong to the meaty category.. that implies no more BIG BREAKFAST for me.. well.. once in a while is still acceptable.. go for a run to burn if off.. for more info on the Nutrition Info on McDonald's food.. pls click http://www.mcdonalds.com.sg/?q=nutritional_info.. cheers.. =)

Even as a kid.. I was always captivated by McDonald's latest advertisement.. I rememer asking my parents to buy me the famous MacDonald's Happy Meal.. so that I can get the promotional toy.. I guess things are still quite the same.. when I bring my nephew out to eat at McDonald's.. he will request to eat the Happy Meal just to get the toy.. haha.. fair enough.. that toy not only appeal to the children.. I believe it has the same effect on adults as well.. just to quote one significant example = The Hello Kitty Craze.. ring any bells? I am quite positive that it does.. the overnight queues and the riots over the toys are popular headlines on the newspapers.. I just checked the website for the latest promotions by McDonald's.. the company had introduced toys that caters to the boys and girls locally.. no wonder they are opening one branch after another.. =)

The new promotion from McDonald's
(Obvious Targets = CHILDREN & Invisible Targets = Parents because they PAY)

Bonus for consumers is that McDonald's has 24/7 delivery service.. ppl who want to eat McDonald's at wee hours doesnt even have to step out of your house looking for a 24-hr branch.. simply dial 6777 3777 & you get HOT meals sending to your doorstep.. wow.. isnt that great.. ya.. n contribute more to your unhealthy intake of FAT! (what's more is SUPPER! wahaha!!!)

Enough said.. I am going to eat my favourite chicken rice at Chinatown when CK arrives.. hopefully soon.. I am so thankful for this laptop that has been keeping me company for the past hour.. **muacks**

Before I watched the movie.. Marcus asked me if I am keen to go DBL O.. n I turned him down flatly.. because I am BROKE.. ya.. almost end of the month.. resources were all gone.. sad case.. hee.. but after watching the movie.. I was so tempted to go.. BUT cant.. argh..

Enjoy the clip! have a good week ahead.. cheers.. =)

Here are some photos of my Violets in their Mandarin performance's costumes.. they were being packaged as pretty flowers by the Mandarin teacher.. I wonder y too.. especially when the title of the song is 'Ha Ha Xiao'.. more pictures of the concert will be posted at a later date.. pls tk note.. cheers.. =)

I had enjoyed myself thoroughly yesterday.. after the tiring event.. my colleagues and I drove over to Coffee Bean at Sixth Avenue.. including me that were 5 of us (Lissa, Shu Ping, Wa, Jam and I la).. took an hour plus lunch there.. decided to try the egg 'n' salmon muffin breakfast set(It is the Breakfast-All-Day' set meal).. I will recommend the egg ben breakfast set as well.. YUMMY!! The 5 WOMEN gossiped and gossiped and gossiped after the satsifying lunch! cheers! That is wat i called bonding time.. and the activity = GOSSIPING! wahaha!!

Yesterday was GOOD day for me partly because I discovered a secret.. hm.. not exactly a secret.. but it made me happy.. haha.. here the story goes.. Wa and I wanted to fag after dinner.. (Lissa, Wa, Jordan and I went out after work for dinner n gai-gai).. but we cant.. firstly.. Jordan is old enough to tell on us (Jam knows but Jason doesnt).. and he understands what is meant by smoking.. erm.. dun want to influence & poison him.. haha.. and both of us had no clues what does the 'big girl' (Lissa) thinks abt people who smokes.. so we both tried to drop hints over dinner.. and AT LEAST.. we cant tk it anymore.. decided to smoke.. so the plan was to ask Jordan to sleep in the car while we took a fag outside.. along the way to pick up the car.. we asked Lissa if she knew wat we were thinking.. and she laughed very loudly.. and made the fagging action.. wow! so smart eh.. and she told us she is a social SMOKER too.. wahaha.. peng.. in the end.. the trio smoked outside the car while Jordan slept peacefully in the car.. hee.. cheers.. I was quite shocked to know Lissa smoked because she looks so decent and the best part is she had been smoking since sec school.. and she is like almost 29 this year.. wow.. my senior eh (she is also from convent).. NOW.. we can start gng to the bank together in the afternoon.. wahaha.. cheers.. =)

right.. I am gng to take my dinner now.. HUNGRY! **roars**.. have a great sat night.. cheers.. =)

[ jaCkfRuiT cHiPs fOr mY biRtHdaY? ]

I met up with Yuan and Wayne last night.. this time ard.. we really went to West Mall for dinner.. wahaha.. cheers.. =)

Bumped into Yuan on the bus there.. I got up the bus at Bukit TImah.. and she got up the bus at Toh Yi Community Club.. she was on the phone with Mag.. n Mag dun believe that there was such a coincidence.. wahaha.. so Yuan passed the phone to me to verify..I think Mag got a shock in the end.. hee.. =)

Wayne promised to reach West Mall at ard 9.30pm.. so the two of us decided to eat dinner first.. We went to Pasta Mania (It is located beside Singtel.. it used to be a Japanese resturant with few people.. so naturally I am not surprised to see Pasta Mania occupying the venue now.. not being mean.. just being FRANK).. planned to eat the Bacon Aglio.. rem the last time that I ate it with Marcus and Joelle.. it tasted FANTASTIC.. missed it alot.. but got tempted by the promotional item = Meatball & Eggplant Spaghetti Set Meal.. it costs me S$11.30 exactly.. I still cant made up my mind until it was my turn to place the order.. so I simply just pointed to the set meal.. the advertisement was nearer to me.. haha.. it was ALRIGHT (as usual.. I am not really fussy abt food).. the meatballs taste like meatballs and the spaghetti tastes like spaghetti.. what else can I say right.. grins..

The advertisement that tempted me

We went to shop around West Mall after dinner.. went to the library to browse through the books (since we had time to kill while waiting for Wayne).. gosh.. got a pleasant surprise.. saw Na-Na there (erm.. she is one of my ex-friend's niece.. used to play with her quite a lot before she turned one).. sadly she dun seem to recognise me anymore.. I asked her for a cuddle and she said CANNOT.. I WAS EVEN MORE SURPRISED that she CAN TALK.. huh? the last time i saw her.. she was still crawling and mumbling.. she is two years and two months old now.. wow.. times dun FLY.. TIMES ROCKETED! May God bless this little girl! =)

Old people get tired easily.. we had to find a place to sit down and continued the wait for Wayne after half an hour shopping.. wahaha.. Mos Burger was our choice.. if u walked past Mos last night ard 9.. you will see two OLD women sat down there.. chit chating away (while waiting for things to happen).. I whined at Yuan to pass me my birthday present (I was bursting with curiosity).. and FINALLY she passed me a beautifully wrapped present.. in gold wrapping paper somemore.. hee.. I was so excited.. I STARTEdD to unwrap the present.. and saw A BOX OF JACKFRUIT CHIPS.. I NEARLY FAINTED.. first of all.. I dun really eat chips.. secondly.. JACKFRUIT CHIPS sound off eh.. wahaha.. and I told her the truth.. that fellow kept on insisting that I opened the box and looked at the chips first.. huh? look at the chips? I still opened it.. and GOT A PLEASANT SURPRISE.. it was a make-up pouch inside the JACKFRUIT CHIPS BOX.. I laughed so hard at the silly joke.. another present that comes in real handy.. **thanks dear.. for the effort in disguising the present**.. =)

The JACKFRUIT CHIPS box

My REAL present = make-up pouch

Wayne arrrived at ard 10.00pm.. so poor thing.. must be starving by then.. we walked to KopiThiam (along the MacDonald's stretch).. she wanted to eat dinner there.. had a good chit chat session with her.. talked for abt an hour plus before HOME SWEET HOME.. everyone is tired.. n sleepy.. **yawns**

I just finished my concert REHEARSAL.. tml is the real thing.. and I am already half dead.. I need GOD's SHOWER OF LOVE.. cheers.. =)

[ uNcOndiTiOnaL aCCepTaNce ]

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree.

The last class I had to take was Sociology.

The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with. Her last project of the term was called "Smile."

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway, so, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning. It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.

We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch... An overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.

As I turned around I smelled a horrible "dirty body" smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was "smiling". His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance. He said, "Good day" as he counted the few coins he had been clutching. The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend.

I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation. I held my tears as I stood there with them. The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, "Coffee is all Miss" because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).

Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action. I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray.

I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Thank you." I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, "I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope."

I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, "That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope." We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.

We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.

I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand. I turned in "my project" and the instructor read it. Then she looked up at me and said, "Can I share this?" I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.

She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed. In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my husband, son, instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn: UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.

Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

I read this email that my friend had forward to me.. touched me in a way.. and my eyes became wet.. thought of sharing it.. have a good week ahead.. cheers.. =)

[ wElcOMe tO thE 23 cluB ]

I OFFICIALLY WELCOMED MYSELF TO THE 23 CLUB! yup! That will be right.. I hit 23 on 10 November 2006.. cheers.. =)

I didnt really celebrated my birthday this year.. I am beginning to develop a phobia of aging.. wahaha.. nah.. I am still young! yeah!

Went out with Wayne, Yuan and Maggie on thursday after work.. mainly to catch up with one another.. havent seen them for quite some time.. had been busy counting money in my account (LIKE REAL).. haha.. Yuan and I decided to go to Holland Village for dinner.. the rest of us (exlucding Wayne.. she was on her way from Simei) met up at ard 7.30pm.. I suggested gng to Delifrance.. because I wanted to try the beef lasagna that CK took the other time when we went out.. so the three of us took our orders and waited for Wayne to arrive before tucking in.. we waited and waited and waited.. n she was still on her way.. decided to give her a call to find out her location.. she replied that she was at Jurong and would arrive in ten minutes.. WE DIDNT BELIEVE HER.. so took a bet of S$10.00.. and indeed after ten minutes.. she rang us up to tell us that she had reached and couldnt find us.. huh.. but we didnt see her anywhere.. and WE TOLD HER WE ARE UPSTAIRS.. and SHE TOLD US WEST MALL DELIFRANCE WHERE GOT UPSTAIRS.. huh? huh? huh? WE WERE AT HOLLAND VILLAGE.. big mistake.. we found out that all of us presumed that the location was kept at West Mall where the three of us usually met up.. and neither Yuan or I had informed Wayne the change of location to Holland Village.. what had i learnt? ASSUMPTION IS THE MOTHER OF ALL FUCKERS!

The Beef Lasagna

We started eating while waiting for her to come over and ordered food for her as well.. tried to cheer her up when she arrived.. hee.. good thing she wasnt really pissed off.. **heng heng**.. and she was so sweet.. she bought me a PINK PIGGY handphone holder.. erm.. I think it was part of her revenge plan when she saw that I gave her a set of PINK mouse pad and wrist rest for Chirstmas last year.. wahaha.. and even the CARD was in PINK!!! but I LOVE THEM ALL THE SAME! I LOVE PINK! wahaha.. cheers.. =)

The BLACK FACED Wayne and I

Me with Wayne's present

After dinner.. Yuan and I grilled her for the lastest update on her L. life.. wahha.. interesting.. she is always full of suprises! hee.. I wish her all the best! **jia you** CK arrived shortly after work.. the chit-chat session continued for another hour or so before we were 'dismissed' to go HOME! wahaha.. I then accompanied CK to take his dinner at Crystal Jade.. poor boy.. he must be starving.. thanks dear.. **muacks**

------------------------------------------------------------------

On 10th Novemeber 2006.. I turned 23.. I gave myself a good treat after work.. which costed me S$121.16.. wahaha.. but I ENJOYED IT! cheers.. met up with CK after his class.. decided to drive over to Sentosa to celebrate my birthday.. THIS TIME AROUND.. WE PAID S$6.00 to go in.. but I rem the other night when we drove in with Marcus and Joelle.. it was FREE!! so I asked the lady behind the counter and she replied that the charge are applicable 24 hours.. huh? that means we must be FREAKING heng that night to go in FREE! wahaha.. stopped the car at Pink Dolphin Lagoon's carpark to cut the cake.. my second cake.. I LOVE CAKES! but CK said it is unauspicious to blow candles twice as I has done it at 1929).. thus we only could sing the birthday song and cut the cake.. he got me a fruitty cake from Bengawan Solo.. we shared a slice of vanilla sponge cake and the HAPPY MEAL that I got for him.. I chose the combi of MacNuggets.. Corn Cup and Apple Juice (MY FAV).. I was worried that he might be hungry after class.. it was just a simple celebration that warm my heart.. thank you be!

My Fruitty Cake.. **yum yum**

CK & I in the car

Now I am finally 23.. I have millions of wishes waiting to come true! SO I AM GNG TO WORK HARD TO ACHIEVE ALL OF THEM! cheers.. =)

I attended Joshua's bd bash at MacDonald's (Tanglin Mall) last sunday (5th Nov).. that implies I met up my class's parents and their beloved children on a non-working day (SUNDAY).. and i was LATE (as usual).. haha.. the party had already begun when i reached there.. gave an excuse that i cant find a parking lot.. wahaha..

Donovan & Claudia & Joshua

Birthday Boy (Joshua) & I

And I realised that my class was actually HAPPY to see me on a SUNDAY.. i dun understand y at all.. they came foward and greeted me when they saw me.. and turned to tell their friends that I had arrived.. huh? kids is the only answer that I could find.. but I was very sure that they had great fun playing the games.. I cant really understand the meaning of the games at all.. I supposed they were meant to entertain the children.. one game requires the two groups of children to change one of their friend into the MacDonald's uniform.. and the winner would be the first one who got dressed.. (NOTE: THE UNIFORM IS ADULT SIZE.. AND MY CHILDREN ARE ALL 4 YEARS OLD).. well.. once again.. I HAPPILY presumed that it was all for the sake of FUN!

The children were playing games!

Matilda & I at the Party

MUM MUM TIME!! the children rushed back to their seats and waited to be served.. of course they WERE JUBILANT.. anyone would be.. they could choose MacNuggets or Fish Dippers for the main course.. the French Fries or Corn Cup or Apple Dippers for side orders and Milk (NO ONE CHOOSE THAT) or Apple Juice or Milo for drinks.. wow.. they were SO SO SO HAPPY.. wahaha.. and of course I HELPED them.. went over to volunteer my professional services to the parents.. settled the children down and prepared the sauces for them.. I felt that I WAS WORKING!

The children were having a BALL!

TIME TO CUT THE CAKE! the lights went off and the MacDonald's crew played the birthday song and brought the cake in.. the children were so excited.. jumping up and down in joy.. screaming their heads off.. and well.. being the TEACHER.. my threshold of noise is unreasonably low.. so I SAID [ALRIGHT[.. and there was SLIENCE.. no one said anything after that.. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED.. however the parents were so amazed with the magic word that work on their children.. **grin**

PR with my parents as well.. talked abt next year placement.. their children's developement.. current issues.. and disciplinary problems.. saw a different side of them while they WERE NOT in school.. more relaxed.. more easy-going.. more approachable.. and Claudia (Joshua's mum) joked with me.. asked me how did I manage to handle all of them every day.. haha.. and to serve them 3 times a day (morning snack + lnuch + afternoon snack).. I dunno.. part of my work i guess.. cheers..

Left shortly after that.. need to pick up my parents for dinner.. I guess Joshua LOVE the birthday present that I chose for him.. it was a Thomas & Friends' Bag.. because he brought it to school on Tuesday.. wahaha.. cheers.. =)

--------------------------------------------------

I brought the Violets out on 9th Nov 2006 to watch a play [A Year with Frog and Toad] at Singapore National Libray.. it was a production by Players Theatre and held at the Black Box.. I guess they had enjoyed the show more or less.. just that some of them complained that the show was too long.. I dun deny for a 4 years old to sit still for an hour can indeed be a challenge.. that explained my kids DANCING and SINGING at the first row during the show.. I nearly wanted to walk out of the theatre with a brown paper bag on my head.. argh..

For myself.. I LOVE the play.. or rather I had always enjoyed musicals, stage performances and plays.. so IT was totally awesome for me.. the songs were rather catchy and my kids are humming some of the lyrics the following day when they returned to school.. a recommedation for my friends who are interested in such production.. took some photos of the children during the journey there.. I love all these SHOTS.. super well-taken by ME! cheers!

[ aMaZinG ExpERimeNt ]

Just received this in my email.. I was astonished when I read the text and saw the pictures.. the result was even better than mixing bicarbonate soda and vinegar together (ONLY IF YOU WANT TO CONDUCT A SCIENCE EXPERIMENT ABT THE EXPLOSION OF VOLCANOES).. the consequence of eating MENTOS and drink COCA COLA together seems to be lethal according to this email.. well.. I am not too sure myself.. just be careful with yourself.. cheers.. =)

According to the email, two boys had been found died in Brazil after eating MENTOS and drinking Coka-Cola together. No newspaper clippings as evidence is included to prove the mentioned cases. However, they had conducted a simple experiment to test the effect of mixing MENTOS and COCA COLA together. Here are the photos. (NOTE: They are all teenagers. And i definitely had my doubts.)

Step 1: Put the MENTOS into a bottle of COCA COLA.

Step 2: Take a STEP BACK and OBSERVE!

Step 3: The BUBBLING continues..........

Step 4: The BUBBLING is subsiding..........

Steo 5: IT stopped.

right.. i had no idea how long did the entire experiment takes.. well.. doesnt matter.. just to highlight to friends who read my blog.. cheers.. =)
