Blessing in disguise?

With great anticipation, Angeline looks forward to the year-end picnic with her class at Katong Park. Unfortunately, Angeline sprained her neck just a day before the event. Oh well!

From Daiso at IMM, Angeline bought 2 frisbees and 1 (super bouncy) HOT PINK ball for the year-end picnic. Angeline was even thinking of bringing the badminton rackets or parachutes for the children to play at the park. Angeline has to admit that she is slightly disappointed that she is unable to make it.

Thankfully, Angeline couldn't resist the temptation of playing with the frisbee and began to play with her class a day just after she had bought the toys. Wahaha! It was just as well that she did it. If not, she wouldn't even get a chance to play at all because the blue frisbee that she has chosen to play has been broken by her class after a day of rough handling. Powerful anot!!!

P/S: If you have another interpretation of the blog title, be Angeline's guest. You might be right somehow.
P/P/S: Angeline is bored stiff at home with eating and sleeping.

Angeline and Bao went to eat at Ichiban Boshi on 17 November 2008. Angeline and Bao reached the resturant at 7.15pm. Angeline and Bao ate Japanese bentos for dinner. Angeline and Bao finished dinner around 8.00pm.

Angeline is right!

Angeline has caught the musical 'Wizard of Oz' with Ck at Drama Centre (NLB). Angeline was right when she told Ck that he was bound to enjoy it. Ck was very thrilled about the musical and he was keen to watch more productions in the coming year. That is awesome news for Angeline!

If you have noticed that the photographs are sharper as compared to the previous ones, praise yourself for being observant. If not, Angeline would like to ask you, "What are you looking at?" Check out the new Samsung F480! It is Angeline's birthday present (from Ck) and her latest toy! Woohoo!

P/S: Angeline is actually keen to watch another production this year.

A year flew past and Angeline is now 25 years old. Damn! A quarter of a century old and Angeline still don't have her own house, her own car, a good career (Angeline is being driven nuts at work everyday) and a good salary. Well, at least Angeline has a good partner, a good family and a group of good friends who will keep her company throughout her life journey! Angeline is grateful for that (although Angeline will feel even more grateful if she gets the rest of the goodness)!

P/P/S: Angeline is not really looking forward to birthdays anymore, you know why la!

Be Impressed!

Angeline has been bugging Ck to watch a musical with her for the longest time ever. Finally, Ck relented and they decided to catch 'Wizard of Oz', which is a production by I Theatre. As the ticket prices for musicals are generally much higher than that of the movies, Ck was indeed very skeptical about it. After Angeline reassured him that he is bound to enjoy it, Ck agreed (with a very unconvinced look on his face). Grabbing the chance, Angeline and Ck went to purchase the tickets for the musical 'Wizard of Oz' at the Sistic booth at IMM almost immediately.

As it was a Friday, Angeline and Ck were window shopping around IMM when Angeline asked Ck if he wants to try cooking the following day. After thinking, Ck decided that it is better to dine out. So, Angeline offered to cook his dinner for him. After thinking (once again), Ck agreed but he wanted to buy the ingredients together with Angeline. Angeline suspected that he was worried about his dinner.

As Angeline enjoys cooking Western cuisine (as compared to Chinese), she decided to cook Potato Salad and Bolognaise. To complete the meal, freshly baked Fruit Cake and a bottle of wine were thrown into the dinner as well. Just in case you are thinking that Angeline baked the Fruit Cake, it was bought from the bakery readily. Hee!

After shopping with Ck, Angeline concluded that he is really an 'uncle'. He would choose his ingredients carefully and compared one with another. Angeline would simply grab and go. Well, Angeline needs to learn from him after all.

On saturday, Angeline impressed Ck with her culinary skills in cooking Western cuisine. Angeline was not exaggerating, Ck finished EVERYTHING that Angeline had cooked and he is the type who will only finish what he likes to eat. Angeline then bugged Ck to learn the Chinese cuisine from his mother, so that they won't have to stuff themselves with Angeline's cooking only. Angeline is indeed very smart!

P/S: Angeline has already watched Wizard of Oz, so she was late in blogging again.
P/P/S: Wizard of Oz was GOOD!

Oh no!

Angeline is feeling sad on her 25th birthday. She can no longer tell people that she is in her early twenties, but late twenties. Oh no!

But the good news is she has another 5 years before she joins the 30 club. Wahaha!

P/S: No celebration. The quarter of the century is enough to make Angeline sad the whole day.
P/P/S: Presents are most welcome though. Hee!

Oh! Like that ah?

Angeline's friends (Lissa, Jam & Wahila) are not very very very sincere. They called Angeline to go out at 4pm for dinner at Vivo City and they wanted to meet at 5pm. In the end, Angeline met up with them at 6pm.

When Angeline arrived, they hurried her to order her food so that they could start eating as soon as possible. Angeline just ordered a Beef Lasagne out of convenience. Thankfully, it was GOOD but Angeline strongly recommended the King Prawns Spaghetti!

Since everyone has gotten a set meal, they were all given a slice of cake as desserts. Jam (who has a sudden & bad craving for cakes) decided to upgrade her (pathetic) slice of Peach cake for other flavours. Unable to resist the temptation, Angeline joined her.

Out of convenience (once again and thanks to the cakes), Wahila suggested singing birthday song to the 2 birthday girls. Angeline then walked over and gotten herself and Jam the decoration and candles. This is so unsincere!

At least, Angeline made them sing the birthday song in English, Mandarin & Malay! Angeline is so smart!

So Near Yet So Far

Angeline thought that she would be able to resist the temptation of eating buffet until November. Little did she expected Ck to suggest eating at Hot Pot Culture on 31st October 2008, the last day of October.

After eating at Hot Pot Culture, Angeline is glad that Ck has made the suggestion. Angeline was over-whelmed with their variety of food (over 100) and the herbal soup base for their steamboat was rich in flavour. Angeline will definitely go back again (in November). Hee!

P/S: Angeline is rushing to go out. You know la!
