[ KeN's WeDdIng aT BoON LaY RaJa ReStaUraNt ]

Ken (my cousin) and Beverly (my new cousin-in-law) got married on 30th December 2007 at Boon Lay Raja Restaurant. Instead of the usual dinner banquet, they arranged for a lunch gathering together with the solemnization.

Although the invitation printed clearly that the ceremony would take place at 12.00pm sharp, it actually took place at around 1.30pm. In other words, the guests (including me) waited for one and a hour. I wonder if this is the norm or people just lost their way? *scatch head*

The ceremony started with the newly wed taking the red carpet walk to the stage, where the Justice of Peace was waiting. The followings were definitely the norms.

LAST but not LEAST, the newly wed with their wedding certificate!

Angeline proudly present the 8 course meal from Boon Lay Raja Restaurant. Please kindly pardon Angeline for the missing first course. She was too excited when CK told her that the dragon's head of the cold dish platter was facing her. She immediately shouted, "HUAT AH!" and ate the food down. *bish*

2nd - Shark's Fin Soup

3rd - Roasted Suckling Pig

4th - Steamed Fish (I gave my portion to CK.)

5th - Broccoli with Scallops

6th - Broiled Prawns

7th - Efu Noddles

8th - Yam Paste with Ginko Nuts

As a result, Angeline went home with a FAT tummy! Time for zap-zap! Cheers to Ken & Beverly!

[ a daTe wiTh hIm ]

Nope! We were not celebrating any anniversary or any festival. Angeline just decided to take photos and blog about her date with CK. Every date that we shared will always be special to me. So here is one of the countless special dates!

Angeline went to Marina Sqaure to meet CK after his work. He offered to give me a treat (because he won mahjong during Christmas), therefore I decided to satisfy my craving for Cafe Cartel's Carbonara. We took our ususal spot in that restaurant and began to browse through the menu. Instead of ordering the intended Carbonara, I ordered the Crispy Pork Chops (which looks 100% irresistible!!!). CK ordered Cafe Cartel's Famous St Louis's Pork Ribs. Lucky for him, the restaurant was having a promotion and he got a FREE upgrade to a combo meal (which consists of a drink, free flow of bread & a soup of the day). Boo!

The soup was too HOT for him?

BUT just nice for ME?

CK could hardly WAIT!

Cafe Cartel's Crispy Pork Chop = 3.5 / 5
Cafe Cartel's St Louis's Pork Ribs = 4 / 5

Angeline will like to recommend the latter to her friends. Go and try it! Firstly, it only costs S$12.80. Secondly, you get a FREE upgrade to combo meal. Lastly, it tastes sinfully YUMMY! Cheers!

Although Angeline is SUPER BROKE this month, that doesn't mean she was NOT tempted to shop when she was at Marina Square. She couldn't resist the temptation-sssss that were available in the shopping sale. Angeline once heard this saying, "Sales are women's best friends and men's worst enemies." I shared it with CK spontaneously. CK being CK, he only nodded. *bish*

In the end, I decided to splurge on my inner beauty (once again). I brought two sets of lingeries at one go, both in light turquoise. One even read "Sweet Angel" on the back of the panty! Devilish!

To boost my energy, we stopped by Killiney Coffee for our caffeine dosage! Angeline had noticed this habit of CK. Whenever Angeline orders coffee, CK will opt for tea and vice versa. True enough, Angeline just ordered two cups of coffee and CK interupted to change one to a milk tea! ARGH! I should have just ordered two "Ying Yong". Why didn't I? *scratch head*

For those who haven't tried Killiney Coffee before, U HAVE TO TRY! 100% money back guarantee if you think elsewise. Angeline is so addicted to it now (thanks to CK who is equally addicted). Boo!

Too bad, CK doesn't read my blog. But I am still thankful for having HIM in my life. I forgot to add that Angeline is addicted to CK! *muacks*

[ bLaCk tEa bOx aT vIVO ]

Angeline met up with her 'sisters' for Christmas dinner (?) at Vivo. We didn't go to the cafe called Black Tea Box even though the title suggested it. Black Tea Box used to be a cafe located at City Hal that brought the 3 of us together since our late teens (LONG LONG AGO).

Since Tim, John & Angeline agreed that we were all BROKE, we decided to budget and eat at Carl's Junior. It was SUPER crowded (mountain people mountain sea - translate in chinese), and the queue extended till the corridor. Lucky for us, we managed to get a table outdoors pretty FAST (thanks to Aunty Angeline). John was given the task of the 'watchdog' while Tim and I went to get the food.

*chomp chomp* A hungry stomach had to be fed first. What's more that there are 3? I got my favourite Charbroiled Sante Fe Chicken Sandwich Meal, Tim got a Bacon Swiss Cripsy Chicken Sandwich (I think so) and John got a Western Bacon Cheeseburger Meal. Yummy!

*yak-yak-yak* I can't say anything that they shared with me. All I can say is whatever we said caught the attention of the 4 guys sitting next to us. They turned to look at us and I (unfortunately) turned to look at them too. I dunno I was (or rather we were) more embarrassed or they were more embarrassed. *bish*

As usual, cam whoring is a must when 'sisters' get together. I took out my Samsung U700 (courtesy of CK) and volunteered to *snap snap*. John (or Tim) suggested using the Taiwanese style of 1 to 10 to take the candid shots. I must be high on my over-dosed syrup found in my Iced Lemon Tea while the pair got hyper with their Cokes. But the photos turned out to be really good. Therefore, I love my Samsung!!!

The night ended with a string of impromptu phone calls made to other ppl from Black Tea Box. Till now, we only managed to get Jobin n Jobin and Jobin. Well, at least we got SOMEONE! Hee!

Angeline is grateful to have so many good friends in her life. =)

[ LcI GaTheRIng oN 21 dEc 2007 ]

WARNING!!! This entry would be flooded with photos which means Angeline can write lesser! Horray!

Angeline met up with LCI coursemates (Hannah & Sat) for project meeting at Marlinda's house, located at Blk xxx Jurong West Central 1 #xx-xxx. We agreed to meet at 10.00am SHARP, so that we could have ample time to finish our project before heading to Sakura for our Christmas dinner. Angeline was very very very excited about it! In case you are confused, allow me to emphasize that Angeline is ONLY excited about the Sakura BUFFET dinner. Woohoo!

Sat, Hannah & Angeline arrived ONLY 15 mins after 10.00am (which is considered a miracle, as Angeline is seldom so early for being late.) Not wanting to waste any more time, we started the assignment right away! Marlinda was the online resource manager, Sat was the journal researcher, Hannah was the IT supervisor and Angeline was the powerpoint coordinator.

Our Messy Table - Laptops, wires, notes, journals, tibits & drinks.

Angeline's motto: WORK hard and PLAY hard! Indeed, indeed! By noon, the assignment is 3/4 completed. Yippie! After WORKING, Angeline declared that it was time to PLAY! First thing first, LUNCH! Marlinda served us with her home-cooked prawns noodles. Yum-Yum!Angeline likes!!!

Sat had kindly offered to wash the dishes, while Marlinda kept her laundry. Hannah helped to rinse the grapes for desserts. Angeline leh? OH! She was busy taking photos of her friends and herself (FINE!). Therefore, she contributed in a way. IF NOT, there would be NOTHING for you to read now! Humph!

Sat - 'Maid'

Marlinda - 'House Keeper'

Hannah - 'Server'

Angeline - 'Photographer'

*DRUM ROLL* PRESSIEZ TIME!!!

The 4 of us had drawn lots to determine who would be getting pressiez for who. Initially, it was meant as a secret. BUT, Hannah and I managed to decode successfully! Fa-La-La-La-La La-La-La-La!

Back to WORK again! *yawns*

Right! We were all woken up (totally) by the little shock we discovered. This project required us to include at least 8 journals. Unfortunately, we only had 5 till then. Marlinda and Hannah began to source for more e-journals while Sat continued to read more journals from the booklet. Just in case, you were wondering that Angeline was slacking again. She was kept busy graphing the statistic for the number of divorce cases in Singapore from 1996 to 2006. This was what Angeline called 'Teamwork'! By 1700 hrs, the project was 100% completed and ready for presentation!

NOW! Angeline proudly declared it was time to RAID SAKURA!

Under someone's recommendation (Angeline really forgot who), we had decided to try the branch at Jurong West Sports Complex. Anuar (Marlinda's hubby) drove us there. 4 famished women and 1 starving man! Woohoo! Lucky us or unlucky Sakura?

Of course, there were MORE food than the ones Angeline has taken. Angeline admits that she loves to eat, BUT that doesn't mean she will eat ALL the food she sees! Maybe!

This entry literally ends here. The 2 photos below are just Angeline cam-whoring in the toilet. Yes! Angeline loves herself too much!
