This way or that?

Angeline is very impressive with herself. Despite having 2 class excursions in 1 day, Angeline still could meet up with Ck for supper. Angeline wondered was it the food or Ck that Angeline has missed? Heh!

Angeline has been eating at this prata shop for the past 2 to 3 years. It really serves good teh tarik and prata. Angeline has recommended it to a few of her friends and brought them to visit the shop. However, Angeline is only able to tell you that the shop is located at Bishan (due to her poor logistics). Sorry la! You can always ask Angeline to bring you there what.

A short and sweet date with Ck has sent Angeline straight to La La Land when she got home. Ok, Angeline was really tired.

P/S: Angeline thinks that she still look good after having 2 excursions with her class in 1 day!

Angeline really don't want to blog about food all the time. BUT everyone needs to eat. Therefore, Angeline is just being a practical blogger.

Thanks to the road closure (Angeline hopes that you are aware of it), Angeline managed to ask Ck successfully to meet at Vivo (Ck doesn't like the mall because it is TOO crowded - LONG queues for the makan places and NO parking lots available). So, it was indeed a miracle that Ck agreed to meet at Vivo.

When Ck saw the long queues at Kim Gary and Marche, he didn't appear to be too thrilled about meeting at Vivo then. Luckily, Angeline saved the day by bringing him to 'The Chicken Rice Shop' at Basement 1. After dinner, Ck told Angeline that he likes the food there. Phew!

Really nice la! BUT Angeline thinks that the food are quite pricey. Please go and try when you strike lottery k? AND remember to bring Angeline along! Heh!

P/S: Angeline is getting lazy to blog again. Oh!

Coffee or Tea

This is a hard choice for Angeline. Usually, Ck will help Angeline to decide. For example, if Angeline takes coffee, Ck will order tea. Just in case Angeline changes her mind, she can always exchange it with Ck. Hee!

And Angeline's friend, Yuan happily told her that there is a drink called 'Ying Yong'. Bish!

Curse and Swear

Angeline is going to curse and swear her stomach flu. Because of it, Angeline had to continue her congee 'diet' even on her friday date with Ck. ARGH!

To make her date more 'romantic', Angeline then suggested to Ck to go to Chinatown for Frogs' Legs Congee. Ck being Ck, he agreed to it readily. Unknown to him (and Angeline too), Angeline has missed out the most important information of her eating it more than 8 years ago totally. When they reached the place, it was not a surprise that the shop no longer existed (BUT of course, so many years ago leh).

Clueless about where to find congee, Angeline and Ck walked around Chinatown like a pair of tourists. Not funny, ok? At last, Ck relented and suggested eating the Chicken Rice from their favourite shop. Hurray for Angeline!

Unfortunately, there was this 'Tak Po' shop that is located 3 to 4 shops next to the Chicken Rice shop and that shop sells congee. BOO! In the end, Angeline still had to eat congee.

To humour Angeline, Ck ordered Pork Ribs, Lo Mai Gai, Mixed Pork Congee, Frogs' Legs and Chee Cheong Fun for sharing. Honestly, Ck helped Angeline to eat the Lo Mai Gai, as it was TOO oily for her. Thankfully, Angeline was still able to eat the rest and NOT watch Ck savour the food RIGHT in front of her again. Phew!

Good news for Tak Po! It has gained a loyal customer and that person is Angeline. Angeline likes the food there, especially the Chee Cheong Fun! Yum-Yum! From the menu, Angeline is keen to try the rest of the congee and dim-sum at Tak Po. Hee!

Ck was stuffed to his brim after dinner but Angeline still wanted to eat her desserts at Wei Xiang Yuen (recommended by Yuan). After some 'watery eyes drama' from Angeline (her forte), they are off to Wei Xiang Yuen. To be a 'tweet-tweet' girlfriend, Angeline suggested sharing a bowl of Mango Sago with Pomelo with Ck. It was a wrong choice because it was really too good and Angeline is still craving for it NOW!

Special thanks to Ck for making Angeline's stomach flu seemed so easy to get through. The congee feast and everything 'tweet' done for Angeline was greatly appreciated. Of course, cam-whoring with Angeline made her very very very happy too!

New but not that NEW!

Angeline is not going to talk about anything new other than food and Ck. Boring, yeah?

And naturally, Angeline got some new food to recommend. Was that old news? Yeah, but what to do? Welcome to Angeline's world!

As Angeline was sick with stomach flu for the past week, she practically survived on congee. If you think Ck is those 'tweet-tweet' partner who will accompany Angeline to eat congee as well, you are not right leh.

Angeline and Ck went to Crystal Jade at Sun Tec for dinner. Of course, Angeline had no other choice but to order congee (under Ck's 'strict' watcing eyes). To humour herself, Angeline got herself a bowl of Mixed Pork Congee (Angeline's favourite) while she watched Ck savouring his plate of Crispy Seafood Noodles. Angeline swore to eat that when she got better! Humph!

Thankfully, Ck was 'tweet' enough to get Angeline a bowl of Wanton Soup to humour her. Ok, there is this Hokkien saying when it is translated into Singlish, it goes "No fish, scrimps also can la." Angeline felt 'tweet-'tweet' after eating that bowl of Wanton Soup.

Best of all, Ck agreed to take photographs happily when he was asked to (Ck is camera-shy la). Hurray!

P/S: Angeline didn't look sick, but she was la.
P/P/S: Angeline is back to normal now. FOOD!!!

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

It's true. Out of Angeline's sight is equal to out of Angeline's mind. Angeline had totally forgotten that she had this entry to post online. Until today (which was like 3 weeks later), Angeline found these photos on her laptop and realized that she had missed these altogether. Opps!

Before SD's wedding, Angeline met up with him and Cynthia (his wife) for a pre-wedding dinner at Bali Thai located at IMM. Pre-wedding dinner was meant for preparing and editing the MCs' script for the wedding. Thanks to Angeline's forgetfulness, the laptop went die before it could be completed (Angeline forgot to charge it la). Oh well, Angeline was left to complete it together with her co-MC (just in case you have not been reading the blog, it was Ck la).

But anyway, the food on the table was too tempting for Angeline to concentrate anyway. Hee! Oh! Something else distracted Angeline too. One of SD's friend (Angeline remembered him as Lewis, or was it Lawerence? Oh well!) came to join them at Bali Thai. At that point in time, Angeline was talking to Cynthia about the script and she couldn't help it but to turn around and ask him, "Are you wearing Hugo Energize?" That friend nodded and everyone looked stunned. Well, Ck wears that and therefore Angeline is sensitive to that scent. Now, you know!

Well, food is still more important to Angeline (as usual) and Angeline decided to resume eating (and of course discussing the script with Cynthia). What's more the food at Bali Thai was really good, especially the 'Mixed Vegetables' and 'Seafood Tofu'. If you don't believe Angeline (again), take a look then!

Back in Action

Honestly, Angeline has been missing in action for a while (2 months prehaps). Work has consumed Angeline to a LARGE extent and Angeline just couldn't find time to 'BE IN ACTION' as much as she wishes to be. Sorry la!

Angeline has gradually settled down at her new work environment, which is Schoolhouse by the Bay. When Angeline means that she has settled down, it suggests that Angeline has gotten used to (numerous) parents' complaints and her class treating her as a piece of furniture in the room. There you go!

Angeline decided to take things in her stride and do more things that she has enjoyed previously. Of course, photography with her loved ones is top on the list. Please don't boo Angeline when she decides to start with Ck. Angeline is sure that you will get your turn (in time to come). Yeah!

Angeline went dating with Ck after work on this Friday and she was in a relaxed mood to take photographs with Ck. Ok, Angeline bought a new camera and was eager to see how good it is. FINE!

Angeline and Ck went to Makansutra, which is next to Esplanade, for dinner. Or Luck (it was literally spelled as that on the signage and Angeline guesses that it was for the anhmohs), Hokkien Mee and Satay were their dinner and Angeline felt gulity after consuming all thoes FATS! Not only that, Angeline and Ck went to Max Brenner for chocolate after dinner. Angeline wonders how is she ever going to lose weight if this continues. Angeline shall find a way to stop this!

Well, if Angeline can't stop eating all those good food, Angeline shall tempt everyone to eat all those good food with her and make everyone put on weight with her. The first step is to post the photographs of all the good food online. The second step is to ask everyone to go out with her to eat all the good food. The third step is to tell them that they are not going to put on weight. Angeline prays that her plan will work!

No excuse, Angeline!

Angeline should stop making excuses about her putting on weight. Angeline wonders how can she lose weight when she can't stop eating. It is indeed Angeline's fault!

Well, Ck has a part to play too. First, Ck introduces good food to Angeline. Second, Ck enjoys sharing good food with Angeline. Third, Ck doesn't stop Angeline from eating. So, it is more of Ck's fault!

Let Angeline quote you an example. Ck brought Angeline to eat at Botak Jones and Angeline got hooked because of their excellent culinary skills and generous servings. For example, Botak Jones serves Cajun Chicken melted in cheese and they topped it up with plenty of chips and coleslaw. And Cajun Chicken is Angeline's favourite food from Botak Jones, which means she will order it (almost) everytime she dines there. Angeline finally understands why she is not losing weight but gaining more.

P/S: Angeline should start to kick off some fats by exercising.
P/P/S: Angeline can't find the time to do it.
P/P/S: Angeline is doomed.

Blessed with 'Kakis'

Angeline went out with her Poly 'Kakis' FINALLY. The coordiantion took 3 months (or was it more?) before the 4 girls could meet up for a gathering. If you are wondering who is the patient coordinator, it was ANGELINE. Praises please?

The girls met up at Marina Square and they decided to dine at Lerk Thai. First, the food there is good. Second, the prices are reasonable. Third, they went to Lerk Thai for dinner on the previous gathering and everyone was too tired to think after work. Therefore, Lerk Thai was their (one and only) choice.

Angeline would like to apologise for not being able to upload photographs on food taken at Lerk Thai. It was ALL Angeline's fault, indeed. Angeline went for a pedicure and manicure before the dinner and she accidently damaged one of her nails while browsing through the menu and had to rush back to the shop to get it fixed. So, you know la.

After dinner, the girls were deciding where to go for coffee when Angeline recommended Max Brenner that one of her parents from Schoolhouse owned at Esplanade. Coincidentally, Jean knows the parent as well and Jean knew him through business contacts. WOW! What a small (small, small) world. In this case, no need to consider further, the girls just headed straight to Max Brenner.

If you are thinking that Angeline had a discount because she is acquainted with the boss, you are not right. Angeline is a person who draws a clear line between work and play.

Chocolates work wonder for the girls and they began to get hyper with cam-whoring. They took many, many, many photographs. If you don't believe Angeline, then let the photogrpahs convince you!

恭喜你啦! (Congratulations!)

Angeline was conned to be the MC for SD's solemnization at Rasa Sentosa. As a result, Angeline robed Ck to her partner. Please don't kid Angeline by thinking Angeline was the Chinese MC.

As MCs, we were supposed to reach the hotel at 10.00am for a briefing with the wedding planner and the banquet manager, as well as a rehearsal with the groom (as the bride needed to get her make-up done and her hair fixed). Knowing Angeline, it was indeed a mircale that she reached the hotel at 10.30am (after a satisfied breakfast at MacDonald's). OPPS!

Being a MC for the first time, Angeline was totally clueless about what to do. Well, it applied to Ck as well and we were both equally 'blur' when we arrived. Ok, Angeline was more blur than Ck. The worst thing is Angeline has STAGE FRIGHT (which NO ONE believes and Angeline wonders why).

The morning was experienced in a fast fowarded motion and the time has came for the solemnization. Angeline wondered if the groom and bride were more nervous than she was. That was the only comfort that Angeline could find at that moment. After all, the attention would be on them instead of the MC.

There was no way that Angeline could back out at that moment, so she went ahead with her role and hosted the solemnization for SD.

Angeline don't really remember what has happened in details. All she could gather was there were a few people (whom she don't know) came foward and congratulated her for a good job done. HUH?

Nonetheless, Angeline was very happy for SD. Congratulations la!

P/S: Angeline has another wedding to host in October.
P/P/S: Angeline has 2 more weddings to attend this year.
P/P/S: Angeline is happy for everyone!

Happy Teacher's Day to all!

Yes, everyone is a teacher. EVERYONE! Regardless who you are, you are (once) Angeline's teacher (if you know Angeline personally). Angeline believes that you have taught her one way or another in your own ways and Angeline appreciate you for who you are.

Having said that, Angeline would still like to thank:

1. Mom and Dad (for teaching her how to walk, talk and feed herself).
   
2. Ck (for teaching her how to love).
   
3. Her family memebers (for teaching how to care and share).
   
4. Her classes (for teaching the meaning of PATIENCE).
   
5. Her teachers (for teaching her how to pass exams - Angeline don't remember what had been taught, so her teachers must have only taught her how to pass exams).
   
6. Her friends (for teaching her how to be a friend).
   
7. Her colleagues (for teaching her the Do-s and the Dont's).
   

Without all these teachers, Angeline won't be who she is today. So, THANK YOU!

Angeline is just lucky that she has chosen to become a teacher, so she is showered with gifts on Teacher's Day. So Angeline decided to share (the pictures of) the presents with everyone! Hee!

P/S: Angeline is enjoying her LONG weekend because 1st of September is Teacher's Day and it is a MONDAY! Wahaha!
