Angeline organised a social gathering for her colleagues that fell on 15th May 2009. The chosen venue was Mint Museum of Toys located at Seah Street. Unknown to many, this little museum has a wide collection of many childhood favourites that brings back much fond memories for all. The bonus is the location of this museum is right in the middle of Singapore, just next to Raffles Hotel. So, if you are keen to explore Singapore and in for a little fun, you might just want to pop by the museum for a nostalgic time.
This was Angeline's second visit to the museum. The first time was spent with her class, where she brought them over for a field trip and Angeline fell in love with the place. First, the design of the museum was indeed awe-inspiring, as the 4th & 5th level simply hang from the ceiling and the 3rd level includes an area of see-through ground where it allows you to take a quick glance of the first level and vice versa. Second, the museum promises you a large collection of toys, ranging from the most popular Mickey Mouse to the easy forgotten Betty Boop, not forgetting the all time favourite Superheros for all. Third, you can easily purchase many childhood favourite toys at affordable prices, such as chatek, tops, five stones and the list goes on. Thus, Angeline is recommending the Mint Museum of Toys!
Well, the photos are really limited for this entry because Angeline was kept busy throughout the night, with the lucky draw, eating and gossiping with her colleagues. Angeline would see if she could get more photos from her colleageues. Till then, this is what Angeline has!
