Class ended promptly at 9.30pm last night at Learning Capital (Shenton Way). As usual, the 4 girls (Sat, Marlinda, Hannah and I) made our way to the porch to wait for Ah Bung (Marlinda's hubby) and Alfa (Hannah's boyfriend). FIY, Sat and I always hitch a ride from Alfa to go home. As Komala's assignment (Advanced Studies in Language and Literacy) is due in a week's time and ALL of us are super stressed out (we haven't even started), Marlinda suggested eating satay to help us to de-stress first. What is that syndrome called again? Argh! I forgot! Ha!

After much consideration, Lau Pa Sat is really inconvenient for us (because it's hard to find parking lots for 2 cars). Therefore, we decided to try this makan place at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station (as recommended by Alfa and Hannah). We reached there, parked the 2 cars and sat down at the table within minutes. REALLY la! Alfa was telling me that we were actually stepping on Malaysia's soil (the land that is surrounded by the fence of Tanjong Pagar Railway Station). Woohoo! I don't even need my passport! I am a mountain turtle (ignorant)? But you know anot?

Alfa and Hannah went to order the drinks, Ah Bung went to order satay while Sat, Marling and I stayed to 'jagar' the table. When the food came, I shouted, "WAIT! I want to take pictures first." Ha! That is because I always forgot to take the photos whenever I see food. Therefore, most of the previous photos are usually the leftovers. Ha! BUT I REMEMBERED this time.

Angeline (aka Aisha) love the satay at the makan place. WOOHOO! The ayam (chicken) satay is SUPER tender and juicy! Not forgetting, my all-time favourite kambing (mutton) satay tasted equally yummy-licious! Yeah! I found another good spot for supper (it means more fats will find their way to my already-very-fat body)! Oh! I so hate it!

If satay is not enough for you, try the Indian Rojak too! And it is CHEAP (I mean it!) too! For a piece of tau hu, fish cake, fish fillet, squid, tempeh (fermented soya beans), kantang (potato) and an egg, it costs us only S$6.00! Woohoo!

This was also the FIRST outing that the 4 girls had. Not surprisingly, the camera went 'click' & 'click' & 'click' most of the times. Ha! I also insisted that the 2 guys take a photo together (because they were talking to each other the whole night, as though the girls were invisible, and I wonder why?). I suddenly remembered the movie, 'I pronounce you Cluck and Larry' that I had watched last weekend with Ck. *shrugs*

Angeline (aka Aisha) went home FULL (I must have put on at least 2 pounds) & SATISFIED (I just told Ck that I was craving for satay) & TIRED (as in mentally - because of the assignment).

2nd year anniversary for Ck and I came and went in a blink of an eye. We kept the celebration simple BUT sweet.

Dinner was at Sizzler's (Sun Tec City). We met up at MW and took the underpass to reach Sun Tec City. Thinking that it was located at 'Tony Roma', we walked around the fountain to head toward that direction. Apparently, both of us burst out laughing when 'Tony Roma' greeted us instead. Since both restaurants' logos are green in colour, the two of us got it mixed up. Right! Then where is Sizzler? Ha!

We took a while to scan through the layout of the restaurants in the mall mentally. Okay, okay, it is located near the chain of fast-food restaurants (which we happily walked past a while ago). Ha!

Ck ordered a Yakitori Fish and I had a Ribeye Steak (MR). I was contemplating to have a glass of red wine. Nah! Stay healthy! That's why Ck and I hit the salad bar for our appetizers. A relative wide selection of appetizers is provided at Sizzler's, which I happily forget all their fanciful names. I was more concerned whether they taste as good as their names suggest. Ha! I could only remember eating this appetizer called 'Crunchy Papaya' and the vedict is 'yummy-licious'. The cream of chicken and broccoli that Ck has chosen is good too.

But nothing is as compared to the main courses. Ck's Yakitori Fish melt in our mouths (yah, I helped myself to it) and my Ribeye Steak tasted heavenly with the brown mushroom sauce. I know you don't believe me. Go try it la!

What's after appetizers and main courses? And the answer is STRESSED. Opps! I mean DESSERTS. Sizzler's has this ice-cream machine that you can make your own sundae with different kinds of toppings. Naturally, the two of us can't resist such an evil temptation even after our super filling dinner. I added nuts, colourful sprinkles and sunflower seeds to my combination of vanilla and chocolate ice-cream. I turned around and came to a vedict that Ck is a copycat. Ha!

I suggested window shopping after dinner, not by default. i thought we just need to burn some sinful calories desperately. Ha! It just happened that we saw this fountain at the new wing of Sun Tec City. Nothing is so fantastic about this fountain other than the birds chriping sounds that passer-by can hear (if they walk near enough). In Hokkien, it is called 'bo liao' and I am 'bo liao' enough to blog about it and you are 'bo liao' enough to read it. Ha!

The pop-up icon from my MSN highlighted to me that I have a new message in my inbox from Facebook. Naturally, I logged in to read the message.

I just started playing with Facebook two weeks back. Wilson introduced this to me and some of my friends insisted that I should try it out. Initially, I wasn't too keen about it since I still hold an existing account with Friendster. However, I gave in to my curiosity in the end.

After reading the message, I simply decided to ignore it completely. But this message inspired me to blog. On top of that, Marcus and I was on a debate over sms last night over 'Men are jerks'. It sort of proven to me (once again) that there are indeed examples of such jerks around.They are jerks not because they want to befriend me. It is because I had put my status as 'In a relationship' and posted photos of Ck and I and my purpose is to look around for friends that I KNOW, not strangers. Quoting from Marcus, 'Duo Ren Suo Hao Fei Jun Zi', in Enligh, it says a gentleman will not steal others' love. Marcus himself also mentioned to me before that guys have hidden agenda at times. Now, you know.

One point that I will like to clarify is I AM NO BEAUTY and I KNOW IT MYSELF. For Christ's sake, I happened to have a full length mirror at home. Therefore, it puzzled me to recieve such messages. No doubts, they are flattering but intangible. I DO not believe in any shit that I have read. These messages just reinforce my point, 'Men go for looks'.

"Selamat Hari Raya" to all my Muslim friends!!!

Aisha was invited to her friends' house to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. If you are wondering who is Aisha, it's time that you keep yourself updated with my blog. (Aisha = Angeline)

My coursemates invited me to their houses on the first day of Hari Raya, my first Hari Raya celebration for the past 24 years. Natually, I was super enthusiastic and looking forward to it for the entire week.

The first stop was Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, Satimah's house. I made a detour to pick up Hannah at her place before driving over. We reached promptly at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. The moment the lift door opened, we were greeted by Satimah's hubby and brother. It just happened that her house is next to the lift and the family laid a carpet and a mat on the ground for the celebration. They had cornered the area in front of their front door all the way to the lift! Aisha hopes that it is legal.

Hannah and I were introduced to the rest of her family members. When Satimah introduced me to her mother, she held out her hand at me and I don't know why I took it and 'salam' her. *scratch head*

After that, Satimah urged us to get food. That was exactly what I look forward to. On display, there were 'Ketupat', 'Bagedel', 'Mutton Rendang ', 'Sambal Prawns', 'Vegetables Curry', 'Ayam Percik', 'Kuihs', 'Pulut Lepa' and some other side dishes whose name I am unsure of. I took a small portion of most dishes and settled myself comfortably on the couch before attacking the food. I must really learn how to cook from Satimah and her mother. THE FOOD WAS SUPER YUMMY-LICIOUS! Ultimately, I couldn't resist the temptation of taking a second helping to some of my favourites, like 'Bagedel' and 'Mutton Rendang'.

No gambling activites took place at the celebration, unlike the Chinese New Year, which is always filled with 'Huat ah!' thoroughout the day. It was more like a gathering for friends and family members. We 'makan', chit chat, took photos, expressed worries for coming assignment, complained about lecturers, watched Mr Bean on Disney Channel, more 'makan', toured the hubby's workshop in one of the rooms, sat down and 'makan' more kuihs. DAMN! I am so going to hit the gym soon.

After 2 hours, the trio decided to head to Hannah's house. FINALLY! We were too comfortable on the couch to move our arses. Ha! Before I forgot, this was also my first time giving 'green' packets to children, one each to Satimah's two daughters and one for Satimah's nephew. According to Malay customs, a person is eligible to give 'green' packets once he/she started working, even though the person is not married. Now, I enjoy being a Chinese.

Next stop is Choa Chu Kang Central. It was about a 5 minutes drive from Satimah's house. We were quite taken aback when we saw the house full of relatives. I was feeling a bit out of place, because I was the only Chinese there. This time around, Hannah did the introduction and her younger niece asked for my hand to 'salam'. *scratch head again*

When we were seated comfortably on Hannah's BIG sofa, her mother walked over and invited us to eat (AGAIN) !!! Out of politeness, I joined Satimah and Hannah at the table. I took sparingly from the dishes. Hm, I observed that the dishes were similar. There were 'Mutton Rendang', 'Ketupat', 'Vegetable Curry', 'Sambal Prawns', 'Bagedel', 'Ayam Goreng', 'Kuihs' and 'Pulut Lepa'. I tried a bit from some of the dishes and concluded that they tasted somewhat the same. Ha!

After the 'makan' session, we went to Hannah's room to continue our chit chat. We were in there for about one hour before we heard more relatives flooding into Hannah's house. Right! Time to go!

That marked the end of my Hari Raya celebration.

I have officially concluded that men are jerks. Need I say more? Well, I don't think I need to been through a lot of relationships with men to know this simple logic of life. I've seen my fair share of men in this world and believe in that fact. The only difference is whether they admit they are jerks or they retorted that women are bitches. That's all.

Just in case you are wondering, CK & I are fine. We're still together blissfully. Don't think too much or get too happy over NOTHING.

On the contradictory, life has never been better than on 5 October 2007.

• I got 2 new enrollment in 1 day. (My boss was supper HAPPY.)

Well, it is actually nothing great about all the events. BUT they all happened in 1 day. Therefore, my mood escalated to 'FANTASTIC'.

Right, of course this main focus is NOT on the above. In fact, I am so DEAD! Let me annouce despondently that Angeline is going to survive ONLY on bread and water for the rest of this month. If there is any kind volunteer, please kindly agree to treat me dinner! Ha!

For my readers' information, I am officially half a Malay according to many of my close friends' observation. They even gave me a Malay name called 'Aisha' to that extent.

Seriously, I also have no idea why. Maybe, my circle of close friends are Malays. Ha! It's true.

I went out with Jo, Jam and Wa on Thursday after work. We went to break fast together at Al-Alzhar (I think the spelling should be right) at Bukit Timah. Upon reaching there, I saw many Malays waiting to break fast. There were plates of food on every table but no one is eating them. They are all waiting for the TIME. So everyone is practically staring at the food. We ordered the food and it came specially fast on that day. Out of courtesy, I decided not to eat as well. I don't think it is polite to gobble your food in front of so many pairs of hungry eyes. Ha! Therefore, I waited with them. And then the prayers started over the 'radio' (That's what I think it was).

Immediately, almost everyone at Al-Alzhar started eating. Ha! SO DID I! I was starving!!!

After dinner, Ida joined us for Geyland Serai. I was feeling excited. My first time there! Yes, I am a Singaporean. Need I say more?

Traffic was moving at a snail pace. We took more than half an hour to drive there, travelling at the speed of 60km/h. Gosh! ON PIE?

The girls decided to bring me to one of the bazar at Geylang Serai. Anyway, they need to get some stuff for Hari Raya as well. I practically acted like a 'tourist' there, taking pictures as I walked around the bazar. Ha!

Jam was my 'tour guide' for the night trip.

First stop was to buy 'baju' for Jo. He needed it to do a dance for Vanda's concert this year. We came by a shop that sells fanciful 'baju kebaya' and Jam happened to notice that it sells 'baju' for children as well. We stopped by to ask and the salesman was quite helpful. He got the size for Jo to tried on. He even kneeled down to help Jo to put it on. (Bonus: He looks cute!) The new 'baju' looks great on Jo and deal is sealed!
