Oh! Like that ah?

Angeline's friends (Lissa, Jam & Wahila) are not very very very sincere. They called Angeline to go out at 4pm for dinner at Vivo City and they wanted to meet at 5pm. In the end, Angeline met up with them at 6pm.

When Angeline arrived, they hurried her to order her food so that they could start eating as soon as possible. Angeline just ordered a Beef Lasagne out of convenience. Thankfully, it was GOOD but Angeline strongly recommended the King Prawns Spaghetti!

Since everyone has gotten a set meal, they were all given a slice of cake as desserts. Jam (who has a sudden & bad craving for cakes) decided to upgrade her (pathetic) slice of Peach cake for other flavours. Unable to resist the temptation, Angeline joined her.

Out of convenience (once again and thanks to the cakes), Wahila suggested singing birthday song to the 2 birthday girls. Angeline then walked over and gotten herself and Jam the decoration and candles. This is so unsincere!

At least, Angeline made them sing the birthday song in English, Mandarin & Malay! Angeline is so smart!

So Near Yet So Far

Angeline thought that she would be able to resist the temptation of eating buffet until November. Little did she expected Ck to suggest eating at Hot Pot Culture on 31st October 2008, the last day of October.

After eating at Hot Pot Culture, Angeline is glad that Ck has made the suggestion. Angeline was over-whelmed with their variety of food (over 100) and the herbal soup base for their steamboat was rich in flavour. Angeline will definitely go back again (in November). Hee!

P/S: Angeline is rushing to go out. You know la!
P/P/S: Angeline is going for another buffet on 10 November 2008. Woohoo!

Before and After

Angeline seldom posts photographs of her wearing her glasses and without make-up on, simply because she don't like that face. But once a while, Angeline still thinks that it is ok because Angeline enjoys people telling her that she looks like a different person after make-up and contact lens. Woo!

Angeline has forgotten to upload these two photographs when she was blogging the previous entry. Opps! The first one was taken while Ck and her were waiting for their hotel room to be ready. The second one was taken after the wedding banquet and Angeline is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TEMPTED to go and perm her hair again. Did Angeline swear NEVER to perm her hair again when she went to re-bond her hair previously? Oh! This is indeed Angeline!

Angeline is IMPRESSED!

Alan and Hazel held their wedding banquet at Marina Mandarin Hotel on 19th October 2008. Angeline was there at 2pm to check-in, this was Angeline's 2nd stay at the Hotel. To Angeline's surprise, the Hotel 's rooms are even more impressive than before with a LARGE LCD TV in each and every hotel room to boost about. Wow seh man!

Angeline and Ck were the MCs for the wedding banquet and Angeline was just thankful that Ck was there with her throughout the night. She was shivering with stage fright (and cold). Angeline just hoped that her role as the MC was acceptable by the groom and bride.

Angeline would like to comment HOW SMALL SINGAPORE REALLY IS. Angeline's uncle was at the SAME wedding banquet that night. He happened to be one of the groom's father's colleageus. Surprisingly, he spotted Ck and they started chit chatting. What about Angeline? Her uncle didn't even notice that she was at the wedding banquet, much least the MC. Executive summary is that Angeline's own uncle couldn't recognise Angeline. Angeline was left wondering till now.

P/S: Angeline is in love with Marina Mandarin Hotel!
P/P/S: Angeline will like to return to the Hotel again this year for Christmas.

Angeline is a Virgin Jiemei!

Angeline was one of the Jiemei-s for Alan & Hazel's wedding on 18th October 2008. It was a busy, busy, busy day. Angeline was so busy (thus, tired) on that day that she went to bed at 10pm. If you are wondering how could the banquet end so early, Angeline would like to inform you that the banquet was on 19th October 2008.

It wasn't easy being the 'Jiemei'. She has to wake up early to go the bride's place to prepare the things to 'kekan' the BOB (Band of Brothers). Furthermore, the games must NOT be too exotic because the relatives would be there watching and the Jiemei don't really want to scare the groom away. Thus, it was difficult to be one. But of course, the reward is sweet. Seeing your girlfriend wearing the wedding gown and getting married is definitely a very happy feeling! Here, Angeline wishes Alan and Hazel many more joyous days ahead!

P/S: Angeline got a 'fat' ang bao from the GROOM. Thanks ah!

This it IT!

Happy 3rd Anniversary, Ck!

Angeline and Ck celebrated their 3rd anniversary on 21 October 2008. If you are expecting Angeline and Ck to have a 'ROMANTIC' celebration, you are WRONG. Ck is NO romantic fellow la. Angeline is just thankful that he remembered (after much prompting by Angeline).

A simple (BUT DAMN EXPENSIVE) dinner at Kuishin-Bo and a bouqet of Sunflowers were in-store for Angeline as her present for the anniversary. Angeline (as usual) surprised him with a bag and a DVD (hand-made by Angeline) with a video clip of their photo montage.

P/S: Angeline put on 1kg after eating at Kuishin-Bo.
P/P/S: Angeline is not going to eat anymore buffet (in Ocotber). Hee!

Better be late than never!

Angeline is about a month late in publishing this entry. BUT it is not (entirely) Angeline's fault. How can Angeline edit the photographs when she doesn't have them? Beside, Angeline also needs TIME to edit 2 (miserable) photographs leh. Angeline is indeed full of excuses.

Angeline went to Jam's place for this year Hari Raya's gathering. Wow seh man! Jam (or was it her mother or was it her maid?) can COOK! The food was fabulous (and SPICY - YUM YUM!) and Angeline was thick-skinned enough to 'ta-bao'. Angeline is truly Singaporean - KIASU! Angeline just thought that it wasn't very polite to reject Jam's offer and Angeline really didn't want to waste the food. More excuses!

There isn't really much photographs because the cam-whoring queen (Angeline) was late. So the rest were a bit shy to cam-whore themselves. As a result, please make to do with the 2 (pathetic) group photographs!

P/S: Becuase Angeline was the only 'single' at that gathering, she was made to sit down on the chair ALL BY HERSELF.
P/P/S: Angeline is still sore about it. Gotcha!

Aww, soooooooo SWEET!

Angeline met up with her precious for brunch. Angeline was so excited about the gathering because Angeline has been so busy with work that she didn't get to meet precious for many many months.

As usual, the arrangement was to meet up at Cafe Cartel (IMM) because precious wanted her free flow of bread and it was the nearest shopping mall for everyone. When precious saw Angeline, she commented that her eyes looked different. Bish! Angeline replied her that the eyes are different because of the eye liner and the effect is to achieve bigger eyes. Precious didn't look very convinced. Oh well!

It was indeed a fabulous gathering with precious and her mei mei. Both girls have grown so much since Angeline last met them. Angeline is sure that Raymong and Pauline are very proud of their two daughters.

Of course, they MUST take a photograph together before parting. It really wasn't easy. It took at least 5 tries before the photograph was well-taken. Raymond was trying his best to get Geraldine to look at the camera. At last, mission was completed. Hee!

P/S: Angeline is enjoying her annual leave now and she is blogging from her hotel room at Marina Mandarin. Wah Seh!
P/P/S: She is going back to Vanda to meet up with her ex-colleagues after settling some stuff at the hotel. Yippee!

One Sunday Morning

With a very very very very very craving for Cafe Cartel morning breakfast set, Angeline 'begged' Ck to go along with her. With the 'sweetest' partner in her world, Angeline got her wish! Yippee!

"Wow Seh Man!"

Believe it or not, Angeline and Ck waited for TCC at Great World City to be renovated and resumed business for the past 4 months (or was it MORE?). It was a great place to chill out for a lazy Saturday evening.

Fortunately, it FINALLY resumed business when Angeline and Ck drove past 2 Saturdays ago and they quickly parked the car and couldn't wait to see what was the fuss about the renovation all about.

"Wow Seh Man!" TCC at Great World City is gorgeous! It is called the Art Boutique and the entire design was awesome! Angeline loves it but Ck thinks that it is just another gimmick because the food and drinks are more pricey now. Haha!

The evening spent at TCC was lovely, with Angeline and Ck playing games to entertain each other. After so many years, Angeline finally found the meaning of self-entertainment. Impressive!

P/S: Angeline meant to include photographs about the decor of the Art Boutique, but you know la.
P/P/S: Angeline won most of the games that night!

Not scared right?

Angeline has always been scared of putting on weight but she still likes to eat good food leh. How ah? Exercise huh? Cannot, Angeline got no time to run. Excuse? Of course la, cannot tell meh?

After much consideration, Angeline decided to continue eating and she is praying very hard that her weight will remain more or less the same with God's help. Funny huh? Laugh lor!

Angeline and Ck went back to Schoolhouse to pick up some books. Since it was (more or less) on the way, Angeline suggested to go and eat the 'wanton mee' at Joo Chiat Place. It was her parents' favourite 'wanton mee' stall in Singapore. Ck went along as 'wanton mee' is Chinese food, try asking him to eat at Gastronomia (Italian), he will most probably suggest Bishan 'Zi Char'.

After eating, Ck thought that it was just 'wanton mee', nothing special about it. Oh well! Angeline will stick to the Bishan 'Zi Char' the next time. That is HOW MUCH Ck loves that stall.

P/S: Angeline also likes the Bishan 'Zi Char' la.
P/P/S: The food is good and inexpensive.

Hush-Hush

Angeline and Ck took half day leave for a hush-hush reason. Angeline did it deliberately to tease you. If you know the reason, you will know it by now. If not, you don't really need to know the reason la.

Before the hush-hush event, Angeline and Ck decided to go and energize themselves with food, to supply them with enough 'power' ah. As Angeline was craving for prata badly, Angeline suggested to eat Jalan Kayu Prata at United Square (yes la, they have a branch there).

Since Angeline was not driving that day, they had to take MRT (Angeline's least favourite public transportation). Since it was so memorable that Angeline was taking 'THE MRT', she must take photographs leh! Ck was left stunned but he still had to smile at the camera.

After eating, Angeline and Ck left (grumpily) for the hush-hush event. The food sucked! It was their 3rd visit to that place, but this time round, the food was totally tasteless. The 'teh tarik' and 'teh halia' were the most horrible with a strong stench of tea leaves. As for the rest of the food, it was just practically tasteless. Bad review from Angeline and it will take a LONG time if Angeline is going to be stepping in again.

P/S: Hush-hush event turned out EXCELLENT!
P/P/S: Angeline bought a pair of high-heeled shoes as she walked past a shop before she went for the hush-hush event and Ck was '...'.

This is NO joke!

As Alan's wedding is drawing near, Angeline needs to look for a gown to wear to the banquet. Angeline is not being vain to get a new gown. She MUST get it because she is going to be the MC.

After work, Angeline met up with Ck to look for one gown that fits Angeline. After 2 hours of trying evening gowns non-stop and not being able to find one, Angeline decided that she desperately needed an ice-cream to boost her energy level up. With a sudden craving for Turkish ice-cream, she decided to drop by Far East Plaza for a cone.

When they reached the place, Angeline made an 'excuse' that she needed to go and pay money at the Cashier and asked Ck to help her to 'collect' the ice-cream from the seller. Hee! Angeline is so mean. For those who didn't try the Turkish ice-cream before, Angeline shall inform you (kindly) that the seller will trick you with a variety of his funny stunts before giving you the ice-cream. God bless Ck!

Unknown to Ck, Angeline was taking photographs of him trying to 'collect' the ice-cream for her. No easy eh, Ck only got it after 3 minutes or so. Hee! Thankfully, Ck was such a good sports! He even posed for a photograph with the seller after that! Awww, so sweet!

Angeline was licking her ice-cream happily when Ck asked for some. But Angeline remember that Ck don't really fancy ice-ceam. Oh! Maybe it was the hard work that he went through, so he needed to taste it. It was really just ice-cream lor!

P/S: The wedding banquet is TONIGHT (19th October 2008).
P/P/S: Angeline is going to stay at Marina Mandarin for a night! HURRAY!
