From A Novel

The Vanda girls met up at PS Cafe (Dempsey Hill) last week. As usual, Angeline was late again. It was not exactly Angeline's fault if the traffic could have been better.

The only impression that Angeline had of PS Cafe was related to a novel that she has read before entitled 'P.S. I Love You'. Therefore, Angeline has associated it with a romantic atmosphere. True enough, the ambiance was indeed as what Angeline has in mind. The only thing that went wrong was the food. It would really be better if they have more variety for their food. The only item that was appealing and good to eat was FISH AND CHIPS! Come on lah!

Fortunately, the company was good with the usual updates. The only new agenda was the distribution of the invitations. Good night out with the girls!

Angeline's Sanity

The reason for Angeline to remain sane is because she has a bunch of good friends who is always supportive of what she does. For example, when Angeline tells them that she wants to slap someone, they would tell her, "SLAP LA!" Sometimes, you just need some people in your life to support you, even they know this is not the best solution. Angeline is thankful for these people in her life.

These people were at Shu Ping's house for a better reason which is to have a baby shower for Sarah (Shu Ping's girl). Everyone is waiting to meet her real soon and Shu Ping is hoping to see her on Singapore National Day. Good luck!

More Roaring Tigers

Angeline has 3 close girlfriends who are expecting in 2010. This is indeed good news because they will be born in the year of the Tiger. Angeline might be seen as the tamest tiger after a while. Hurray!

The first friend is Shu Ping who is going to deliver in August, the second friend is Hazel who is due in October and you have to make a guess for the last friend. Angeline is wondering if she has been working in this line for too long that she could tell if a woman is pregnant after one glance. After meeting up with Vanda clique at Vivo City for dinner, Angeline immediately asked her, "Do you think you have something to share with us?" And the mother-to-be replied, "Yes, I am expecting." Angeline's doubts about her growing 'fuller' vanished, as the answer seemed very justifiable. If not, she must be having a very good life at home.

Dinners with the girls are always good because we talk about everything and anything literally. It was such a pity that someone has to fall sick. Hopefully, Shu Ping will organise a baby shower in July and the girls will get to meet up again.

Sweet Treats

Angeline thought she was in for a treat when Jamilah offered to organise a dinner gathering for the ladies. To make it super convenient for *ahem*, it was arranged at Holland Village. Angeline definitely did not belong to the *ahem* category for sure, as she had to travel all the way from Mountbatten Road, from the east to the west.

Despite the long distance, Angeline thought that the trip was worthwhile. The food and the desserts were fabulously good and Angeline was craving for more. She was the first to finish her food that night and wanted to have some sweet treats. Therefore, the food must be really delicious or the portion was miserable or Angeline was really hungry. You decide for yourself.

The company was of course good la, just the usual. But the joke was to test your pronunciation of 'sheet' and 'shit'. If you are proficient enough in English, you will be able to say it out correctly. Angeline got it right by emphasizing longer on the first word but Angelique was rather tickled and could not stop laughing. She must be thinking otherwise. Try it!

Aisha's Visit to Wahila's Open House

Before Aisha could reach Wahila's house, she already got herself lost in Punggol. That is why Aisha would never ever want to stay at that place. After much twists, turns and u-turns, Aisha got to Wahila's residence at Punggol Field in one piece.

For some reasons, Aisha was not the latest despite her rushing from a friend's wedding lunch. Maybe this could be the one and only reason why Aisha is friends with them. It is really hard to kick away this habit of being 'LATE'. Oh!

Upon her arrival, Aisha wasted no time and started taking photographs of those who were there. Papan (Lissa) was not featured once again because she was always in a hurry to leave once Aisha had arrived. Because Papan is also known as Mrs. Lim, she could be excused.

Old Vanda staff and the new Vanda staff were all featured in the photographs. Aisha wondered if Vanda has a special ability to hold people's relationships together despite most of us working for different schools now? It could be because the girls got more gossips to share now that no one would ever know. Perhaps!

Aisha is looking to the multiple celebrations on the 28th November 2009 with the girls!

A New Record

The monthly dinner gathering for the girls had broken a new record with Elly and Jo joining the group. This was indeed their very first time and let's look forward to many more in October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September and the cycle goes all over again! Wahila left a comment in Angeline's photo album on Facebook that it was a great dinner with laughter and 'bombastic news'. Angeline totally agreed and the 3 hours spent at New York New York seemed to be over in a blink of an eye. There were still more updates to be shared and more jokes to be laughed over. Angeline is so looking forward to their next monthly gathering and she is already sourcing for good restaurants to recommend the girls. Angeline really misses those times when they were still working together. Maybe, there will still be a chance?

Wedding Bells

At St Theresa's Church, the wedding bells rang for Anthony and Lissa on 1st August 2009. Together with the rest of the Vanda colleagues, Angeline attended this holy matrimony of the couple.

The entire ceremony lasted for about an hour, including the exchanging of wedding vows and rings, signing the marriage certificate and the Catholic mass. After the ceremony, Angeline is beginning to believe that all women indeed are at their most beautiful moment when they are wearing this dress called the 'Wedding Gown'. Lissa was indeed so beautiful on 1st August 2009.

All the guests were invited for lunch reception at the Church after the ceremony. Maybe the best part of the wedding was still the lunch reception. Angeline did not deny that the walk-in was equally impressive!

As the wedding ended in the early afternoon, the girls went to Great World City for coffee and shopping. It had been a while since Angeline got to enjoy a lazy, bitchy and relaxing afternoon with her girls. Thumbs up!

Aww, soooooooo SWEET!

Angeline met up with her precious for brunch. Angeline was so excited about the gathering because Angeline has been so busy with work that she didn't get to meet precious for many many months.

As usual, the arrangement was to meet up at Cafe Cartel (IMM) because precious wanted her free flow of bread and it was the nearest shopping mall for everyone. When precious saw Angeline, she commented that her eyes looked different. Bish! Angeline replied her that the eyes are different because of the eye liner and the effect is to achieve bigger eyes. Precious didn't look very convinced. Oh well!

It was indeed a fabulous gathering with precious and her mei mei. Both girls have grown so much since Angeline last met them. Angeline is sure that Raymong and Pauline are very proud of their two daughters.

Of course, they MUST take a photograph together before parting. It really wasn't easy. It took at least 5 tries before the photograph was well-taken. Raymond was trying his best to get Geraldine to look at the camera. At last, mission was completed. Hee!

P/S: Angeline is enjoying her annual leave now and she is blogging from her hotel room at Marina Mandarin. Wah Seh!
P/P/S: She is going back to Vanda to meet up with her ex-colleagues after settling some stuff at the hotel. Yippee!

Angeline and Breakfast?

The 2 words doesn't go together. Angeline doesn't take breakfast now, what's more on a Saturday morning when she can sleep till it is time for lunch.

However, Angeline had a date with someone special and she made the extra effort to wake up earlier. Oh well, she just made it in time for brunch. The special one is not Ck. Besides, Angeline doesn't think Ck is keen to wake up early on a Saturday morning and come all the way to accompany Angeline to eat breakfast.

The special one has a nickname (given by Angeline) known as 'Precious'. She is Angeline's ex-student from Etonhouse. Precious was not exactly in Angeline's class, but she was taken care by Angeline during evening duties for the 2 years that Angeline was in Etonhouse. Since then, they have been very close. Despite Angeline has moved onto a new career, they are still in touch. Therefore, Angeline will like to thank Pauline (Precious's mama). If not, how otherwise can a 4 years old meet Angeline at IMM's Cafe Cartel for breakfast?

Angeline was super excited about this gathering because she was meeitng the new memeber of Precious's family for the first time. She is called Geraldine (Precious's new born sister).

Angeline has been a faithful reader of Pauline's blog and she keeps herself updated with their updates. From the photographs posted on the blog, Geraldine looks big. In reality, Geraldine is NOT that big. You have to see to understand. Despite so, Geraldine is a strong baby, she doesn't need much support for her neck and you can just lift her up and her head won't tilt backwards. Impressive eh!!! Well, at least Angeline is impressed.

Breakfast was agreed at Cafe Cartel. It was Angeline's first time patronizing Cafe Cartel for breakfast. Prehaps, Angeline will go again if she ever manage to wake up in time. That means Angeline likes the food there la. What's more the prices are reasonable, they are similar to that of MacDonald's.

Nothing really change. Precious is still as *tweet* as Angeline can remember. She will still look at Angeline and say, "I love you, Ms Angeline." To which, Angeline couldn't help teasing her by asking, "How much?" Without a second thought, Precious would stretch out her hands far apart and reply, "This much." *tweet* as not?

My Precious

Angeline has been blogging about CK & her dates recently. That's why she decided to blog about another person she loved dearly in her life, her precious Gwendoyln.

This little girl was her ex-student from EtonHouse Pre-School (Vanda). They spent most weekday evenings together in the school (Angeline did late duty for the school) and they develop strong bonds with each other over time. Angeline remembered that Gwendolyn cried for one hour plus on the first day that she stayed late with her till 7pm. Angeline carried her (she is about 15kg at that time) for as long as she cried. In the end, Angeline went home with a backache.

As Angeline watched Gwendolyn grow everyday, she is so proud of this little girl. SO lovable! The little girl that Angeline once took care is all grown-up now. Gwendolyn is so independent that she will often say, "I can do it myself." When Angeline met up with her for breakfast a few Saturdays ago, she kept telling Angeline that she loves her (SO MUCH!). Angeline is touched. Angeline loves her precious so much too!!!

I forgot when was the last time that i blogged.. must be damn long ago.. i didnt even bother to go to look at my blog for a long time.. suddenly turned on my com n feel like blogging.. haha.. women.. we must be the most unpredictable creatures on earth.. so as to say.. wahaha..

life have been too busy recently.. i was so tired today that i actually managed to sleep thru out the day.. and just woke up ard 6.30pm for a shower.. i dunno what got into me.. maybe really shagged out with the new work load and all.. wahaha..

For your info.. i have officially resigned from Eton House and now currently working for Gracefields as a supervisor.. how i miss teaching.. ALOT.. i realised that i was happier teaching than doing all the tedious paper work.. it just happened so that i help my mentor to relief a class as the teacher was sick.. and i was so happy for the whole day.. because i got so many hugs and kisses when the children go home at the end of the day.. and they asked if they will see me again.. OH! I want to go back to teaching again man.. I WANT TO TEACH! wahahaha..

Well well well.. u guys finally see a new entry on my blog.. but it is not gng to be a LONG entry.. just a brief one to describe what had HAPPENED in my life for the past one month plus that I am missing in action.. =)

Of course I am working now.. BUSY BUSY BUSY BEE!!! FREAKING HELL busy like anything.. my sat and sun are mostly spend on SLEEPING n SHOPPING.. the two Ss that I cant live without.. I had not been meeting up with my friends too.. hm.. if I missed you out during my long vacation.. I am so sorry.. I promise I will meet you during my June Holidays.. wahaha..

Work has definitely taken a toll on me emotionally and physically.. I am practically strained out at the end of the morning session.. I can barely make it to survive the afternoon.. well.. not that I HAVE A CHOICE.. haha.. it is gng to be WAY TOO LONG to explain in CLEARLY here.. just a executive summary.. I have a MUCH BIGGER CLASS SIZE this year to myself (mind you.. I am the CORE teacher.. my assistant doesnt do documentation n curriculum).. my class kids are WAY TOO L-OV-E-A-B-L-E.. and my assistant is NEW.. alright.. that is more than enough to kill me for now.. wahahha (BITTER LAUGHTER).. =(

Other than that.. I am craving to eat the Japanese buffet at Kallang Cove.. planned to eat it with CK last sat.. but well.. it clashed with the match (Singapore vs Malaysia).. Wa told me sure packed like anything.. so we gave it up n didnt go there.. instead we popped by Great World City for a SUPER DUPER LAME movie [Borat].. I dun really see much of a plot.. just some scenes that are super crappy.. but well.. it was still good for a LAUGH.. n ferget all abt it the next morning.. haha.. supper was next on the agenda.. went over to Bukit Timah for Taiwan porridge.. YUM YUM.. the food is good n not expensive.. the dishes are ard $3/$4/$5.. of course there are more expensive dishes like the seafood stuff.. but we took the normal.. 'ko bao chi ding'.. 'chai po egg'.. 'eggplant with shrimp'.. 'salted eggg with minced meat' and 'bean sprouts with something that i cant rem'.. haha.. and we thought the price was reasonable.. will recommend if you are looking for good Taiwan porridge.. =)

Oh ya.. I had been shopping non-stop for the past 1 month.. so now I am heavily in debt.. and very very very very very very very broke.. wahaha.. I just cant resist the temptation of retail therapy.. haha.. I AM GNG TO HAVE SOME SELF-CONTROL..haha..

I will like to say that this concert had been a wonderfully FANTASTIC success.. we had received very positive feedback from parents and they were thrilled to attend the concert.. the children had enjoyed the performance.. all the hard work for the past few months was all worth it!
