Pure Bliss

Since this Ben & Jerry's episode, Angeline had not tasted a mouth of ice-cream. Down with a round of bad flu and cough, Angeline is still trying to recover. Thus, Angeline misses the ice-cream from Ben & Jerry's terribly, especially when it was shared with many good friends.

As it was a National Day Holiday for all of everyone, the group decided to try something new by popping over to Dempsey for something new. As Angeline caught sight of Ben & Jerry's, she suggested to go over for dinner. It was indeed a good choice. The food was really mediocre but the ICE-CREAM was awfully good. The group even wanted to order the second serving. Then, the word 'diet' must popped out!

Hopefully, Angeline would get well soon.

The Process of Getting Fat

Angeline thought that the title was very clear. It explained everything that Angeline has been doing all this while. Indeed, Angeline has literally been eating non-stop at parties, gathering and what-nots.

Angeline is wondering if there is any month without any event at all. If there is, Angeline must be getting lonely because she is not invited to any events. So, getting fat is worse or?

Angeline's colleagues saw her photographs taken at Crystal Jade Korean BBQ Restaurant on Facebook and asked her to bring them to try the food. Thus, Angeline went for another round of buffet within the same month. Angeline is still gasping in horror.

Go, Go Buffet

Angeline is going to boycott buffets till the end of the year. While she is trying her utmost best to go on her diet, her friends had to ask her out for buffets. If it is just one group of friends, Angeline could live with it. In contrast, Angeline had attended 3 buffet sessions in just one pathetic month. Angeline is so cursed when she realised that she had put on 1 kg from all the excessive eating. This is totally unacceptable and Angeline needs to have some self-control and stop eating.

The first buffet was invited by Alan and Hazel to Crystal Jade Korean BBQ at CentrePoint. The group was lucky to have Aaron to join in, as he is currently still on leave till the new job commences. The one and only bad thing about buffet is people do not know how to stop ordering thinking that they have that capacity in their stomachs to finish all the food. When they could not finish it, they would try their very best to stuff themselves with the food to avoid the surcharge. That was exactly what Aaron told the group, "There is no way that they can charge with the ala carte price!" and he proceeded to finish ALL THE FOOD on the table. Angeline who was sitting opposite him gasped in astonishment.

Government Pay-Out Day for Daddy

Of course, Angeline's Daddy needed to turn 55 before the government would give him a partial sum from his CPF account. Unknowingly, it came and the family went for a meal at Pu Tien to celebrate. This could be one of the best day for him, other than the day that Angeline was born. Wahahaha!

Dinner was good with many dishes that all of the guests were stuffed to the brim. When the bill came, the hole in Angeline's pocket became pretty obvious too! For Angeline's Daddy, it was worth the value.
























P/S: Maryln was sick on that day.
P/P/S: Daddy fell sick the following day.
P/P/P/S: Angeline fell sick after which.

The Pig is Black

Under Alan's strong recommendation, the group of 5 went to Tampopo located at Liang Court for dinner after work. Their speciality is 'Black Pig', which is a special type of pork that comes from Japan. Thus, most of us ordered Fried Rice or Ramen that are being served with this type of pork.

Before dinner was served, Angeline was expecting that the pork would be black as suggested by the name. BUT it was just the normal colour of any pork that Angeline could find elsewhere. After tasting the 'Black Pig', it was indeed juicer and leaner that the rest of the pork. Furthermore, the soup of the Ramen was really good. Tampopo might see Angeline again.














P/S: Angeline is tempted to try the desserts too.

Feeling the heat of the sun on a sunny Friday afternoon, Albert and Angeline decided to go for chilled drinks at Ya Kun. Remembering that he has free vouchers from Cit, Albert went to exchange for one Iced Yuan Yang and one Iced Milo. Well done!

The K1s from Ms Angeline's class would want to sing this song for the weather to be bright and sunny so that they can go to the park to play. However, Ms Angeline would rather Mr. Sun take a break so that she would not get a sunburn so easily, especially when she planned to go out with her colleagues to Sentosa for site visit.

Unfortunately for Angeline, Mr. Sun seems to favour her wherever she goes and it was indeed bright and sunny on the day itself. Armed with only a pair of sunglasses, Angeline went ahead with the site visit and rewarded herself with Man Ji's cold desserts at the end.












P/S: Angeline has been thinking about the desserts at Man Ji.

JTA met up for their BTB gathering from time and time and the venue was decided at Xin Wang (City Link Mall) for this round. It was meant for Angeline who suddenly had a craving for her hometown Taiwanese food. Thankfully, Angeline is going back to Taiwan in December.

Angeline loves the boys to bits because they are there to share her darkest secrets and Angeline knew it would not be a kiss-and-tell session with them. Sometimes, you just needs friends like them.

A Hidden Treasure...

... is the long forgotten place hidden at Greenwood Avenue at Bukit Timah that Angeline used to frequent L'estaminet when she was still working at Vanda Road.

After picking Alan and Hazel from their home at Bukit Panjang, the 4 people in the car were trying to decide on a venue for their dinner. Angeline suddenly remembered the hidden treasure located at Greenwood Avenue. Thus, L'estaminet was decided for dinner.

Under Angeline's strong recommendation, the XXL pizza and the Portobella Mushroom were ordered. Thumbs-up!

Angeline should really go back to L'estaminet with her Vanda group of friends for a round of nostalgia.














P/S: Angeline really loves the thin-crust XXL pizza.
P/P/S: Angeline might try their beer the next time.

The Favourite Ministry of Singapore

is definitely the Ministry of Food. Angeline and Albert love the Ministry of Food located at Suntec City and they have been there a couple of times. Angeline is totally captivated by their variety of desserts and she is so tempted to eat more because her favourite Kanten Jelly has both nourishing and beauty effects.

Angeline actually also like the Ministry of Education too!
