From A Novel

The Vanda girls met up at PS Cafe (Dempsey Hill) last week. As usual, Angeline was late again. It was not exactly Angeline's fault if the traffic could have been better.

The only impression that Angeline had of PS Cafe was related to a novel that she has read before entitled 'P.S. I Love You'. Therefore, Angeline has associated it with a romantic atmosphere. True enough, the ambiance was indeed as what Angeline has in mind. The only thing that went wrong was the food. It would really be better if they have more variety for their food. The only item that was appealing and good to eat was FISH AND CHIPS! Come on lah!

Fortunately, the company was good with the usual updates. The only new agenda was the distribution of the invitations. Good night out with the girls!

In the Word of Colourful Language

Angeline met up with John, Julia and Timothy after a meeting that lasted 2 hours and resulted her to be late for an hour. Thankfully, her friends were being kind enough to order the food for her in advance, or rather they were starving and could not wait to start their dinner.

Throughout dinner and the coffee session that followed, the language used by everyone was so colourful that poor John has a hard time catching up. Thus, Angeline decided to be nice and used the most commonly used language to express her thoughts. Well done on Angeline's part as everyone understood the meaning perfectly.

At the end of the day, everyone went home with the impression that Angeline has a sharp tongue because one simple sentence made by John and another spoken by Tim were both decoded by Angeline and translated into her language. Julia was totally impressed. Angeline could not say the same for the men.

If there is any change to use the language again, Angeline would always remember to call this group of friends.

Waving His Hands at the Big 3

Albert just celebrated his 28th birthday on 22nd August 2010 and Angeline can foresee him celebrating his 30th birthday in 2 years time. All Angeline can say is time flies.

As mentioned, Angeline fell sick for a long time and not much preparation was specially made this year for her man. Thus, it could be summarised as a surprise dinner gathering with his best friends, a romantic German dinner with Angeline, a treat to foot reflex and a musical production to end up the entire celebration. The presents were also kept simple with just 2 sets of cuff links and the sweetest 'Happy Birthday' from Angeline. Angeline was just thinking if she had put more effort, Albert must be the happiest man alive on earth.
















































P/S: The musical production was worth a watch because Albert likes it.
P/P/S: Angeline prefers Chang and Eng that she caught many years back.

Pure Bliss

Since this Ben & Jerry's episode, Angeline had not tasted a mouth of ice-cream. Down with a round of bad flu and cough, Angeline is still trying to recover. Thus, Angeline misses the ice-cream from Ben & Jerry's terribly, especially when it was shared with many good friends.

As it was a National Day Holiday for all of everyone, the group decided to try something new by popping over to Dempsey for something new. As Angeline caught sight of Ben & Jerry's, she suggested to go over for dinner. It was indeed a good choice. The food was really mediocre but the ICE-CREAM was awfully good. The group even wanted to order the second serving. Then, the word 'diet' must popped out!

Hopefully, Angeline would get well soon.

Indulgence..........

.......... in baby sitting once in a while is quite an experience. But Angeline can imagine the agony of taking care a baby 24/7. That is definitely not something Angeline looks forward to at the moment.

When her phone rang at 7.30am on a Saturday morning, Angeline thought that someone must have dialed the wrong number. That someone was trying his luck to see if Angeline would be up so early to eat breakfast together. As his wife has other plans, her friend was able to bring baby Cayden out too. Since the arrival of the baby, Angeline was too busy to visit and this seemed like a good opportunity. Thus, it was set!

Honestly, baby sitting Cayden was really a breeze. He would fall asleep when he is tired, break a wide smile when he was given food and no fuss was made over him at all. Angeline really loves baby sitting home. With such weather, he was lucky to go over to East Coast Park for a walk. But most of the times, he seemed contented eating food.

Angeline looks forward to go out with Cayden again soon.

Go, Go Buffet

Angeline is going to boycott buffets till the end of the year. While she is trying her utmost best to go on her diet, her friends had to ask her out for buffets. If it is just one group of friends, Angeline could live with it. In contrast, Angeline had attended 3 buffet sessions in just one pathetic month. Angeline is so cursed when she realised that she had put on 1 kg from all the excessive eating. This is totally unacceptable and Angeline needs to have some self-control and stop eating.

The first buffet was invited by Alan and Hazel to Crystal Jade Korean BBQ at CentrePoint. The group was lucky to have Aaron to join in, as he is currently still on leave till the new job commences. The one and only bad thing about buffet is people do not know how to stop ordering thinking that they have that capacity in their stomachs to finish all the food. When they could not finish it, they would try their very best to stuff themselves with the food to avoid the surcharge. That was exactly what Aaron told the group, "There is no way that they can charge with the ala carte price!" and he proceeded to finish ALL THE FOOD on the table. Angeline who was sitting opposite him gasped in astonishment.
















P/S: Angeline needs to 'zap' the fats out.
