The Vanda girls met up at PS Cafe (Dempsey Hill) last week. As usual, Angeline was late again. It was not exactly Angeline's fault if the traffic could have been better.

The only impression that Angeline had of PS Cafe was related to a novel that she has read before entitled 'P.S. I Love You'. Therefore, Angeline has associated it with a romantic atmosphere. True enough, the ambiance was indeed as what Angeline has in mind. The only thing that went wrong was the food. It would really be better if they have more variety for their food. The only item that was appealing and good to eat was FISH AND CHIPS! Come on lah!

Fortunately, the company was good with the usual updates. The only new agenda was the distribution of the invitations. Good night out with the girls!

P/S: Angeline loves the desserts there too.

In the Word of Colourful Language

Angeline met up with John, Julia and Timothy after a meeting that lasted 2 hours and resulted her to be late for an hour. Thankfully, her friends were being kind enough to order the food for her in advance, or rather they were starving and could not wait to start their dinner.

Throughout dinner and the coffee session that followed, the language used by everyone was so colourful that poor John has a hard time catching up. Thus, Angeline decided to be nice and used the most commonly used language to express her thoughts. Well done on Angeline's part as everyone understood the meaning perfectly.

At the end of the day, everyone went home with the impression that Angeline has a sharp tongue because one simple sentence made by John and another spoken by Tim were both decoded by Angeline and translated into her language. Julia was totally impressed. Angeline could not say the same for the men.

If there is any change to use the language again, Angeline would always remember to call this group of friends.

Albert's Dream

His dream came true after 1 year of dreaming. In 2014, Angeline and Albert will move to Sengkang. If dreams do come true, Angeline can not wait to start dreaming now.

A Committed Sin

Anyone at the right frame of mind would not eat breakfast before a photography session. However, Angeline and Albert went ahead and even had a full set of Eggs Ben and Salmon and Eggs completed with freshly brewed Cafe Latte at Coffee Bean. This was seemingly impossible for Angeline who is so vain. But Angeline decided that it was better to look happy than to look slim on photos. Today, Angeline will know if she had made the right choice.

Waving His Hands at the Big 3

Albert just celebrated his 28th birthday on 22nd August 2010 and Angeline can foresee him celebrating his 30th birthday in 2 years time. All Angeline can say is time flies.

As mentioned, Angeline fell sick for a long time and not much preparation was specially made this year for her man. Thus, it could be summarised as a surprise dinner gathering with his best friends, a romantic German dinner with Angeline, a treat to foot reflex and a musical production to end up the entire celebration. The presents were also kept simple with just 2 sets of cuff links and the sweetest 'Happy Birthday' from Angeline. Angeline was just thinking if she had put more effort, Albert must be the happiest man alive on earth.

P/S: The musical production was worth a watch because Albert likes it.
P/P/S: Angeline prefers Chang and Eng that she caught many years back.

24 Years Older

Angeline's mother had her when she was 24 years old, thus she is naturally 24 years older than Angeline. Her mother is really quite lucky because she got Angeline to celebrate her birthday every year. As Angeline has no child, Angeline might not get any birthday celebration when she gets to her mother's age. Angeline better start having more god children from now on.

Angeline brought Mommy to Crystal Jade for her birthday. As Angeline was feeling too good, the celebration was kept simple with just a family dinner and some shopping. Mommy got a new wallet, Andersen's ice-cream and a bottle of perfume from Daddy. Thinking back, Daddy paid more for Mommy's birthday. Angeline still has Albert then! This thought is more positive!

P/S: Celine could not make it.
P/P/S: Of course, he could not make it too.

Pure Bliss

Since this Ben & Jerry's episode, Angeline had not tasted a mouth of ice-cream. Down with a round of bad flu and cough, Angeline is still trying to recover. Thus, Angeline misses the ice-cream from Ben & Jerry's terribly, especially when it was shared with many good friends.

As it was a National Day Holiday for all of everyone, the group decided to try something new by popping over to Dempsey for something new. As Angeline caught sight of Ben & Jerry's, she suggested to go over for dinner. It was indeed a good choice. The food was really mediocre but the ICE-CREAM was awfully good. The group even wanted to order the second serving. Then, the word 'diet' must popped out!

Hopefully, Angeline would get well soon.

Indulgence..........

.......... in baby sitting once in a while is quite an experience. But Angeline can imagine the agony of taking care a baby 24/7. That is definitely not something Angeline looks forward to at the moment.

When her phone rang at 7.30am on a Saturday morning, Angeline thought that someone must have dialed the wrong number. That someone was trying his luck to see if Angeline would be up so early to eat breakfast together. As his wife has other plans, her friend was able to bring baby Cayden out too. Since the arrival of the baby, Angeline was too busy to visit and this seemed like a good opportunity. Thus, it was set!

Honestly, baby sitting Cayden was really a breeze. He would fall asleep when he is tired, break a wide smile when he was given food and no fuss was made over him at all. Angeline really loves baby sitting home. With such weather, he was lucky to go over to East Coast Park for a walk. But most of the times, he seemed contented eating food.

Angeline looks forward to go out with Cayden again soon.

Angeline's Sanity

The reason for Angeline to remain sane is because she has a bunch of good friends who is always supportive of what she does. For example, when Angeline tells them that she wants to slap someone, they would tell her, "SLAP LA!" Sometimes, you just need some people in your life to support you, even they know this is not the best solution. Angeline is thankful for these people in her life.

These people were at Shu Ping's house for a better reason which is to have a baby shower for Sarah (Shu Ping's girl). Everyone is waiting to meet her real soon and Shu Ping is hoping to see her on Singapore National Day. Good luck!

P/S: A good catching-up with everyone.

The Start of Something

Angeline started aerobics and eating MORE vegetarian food to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Angeline even robbed in Mommy and Daddy to try vegetarian food with her. It turned out to be a good experience. After all, it might be a good idea to lose weight this way!

First Impression Counts!

One of Angeline's colleagues went on leave and the kids were left with a supply teacher. As they were not work set aside for the afternoon, Angeline told the kids to draw a portrait of her and it was one of the biggest mistake that she had made. Despite so, Angeline thinks that she is going to keep all the drawings for the longest time ever.

Sand, Sun and Sea

After working around Fort Road for 2 years, Angeline is beginning to love the east side of Singapore more and more. Angeline loves the Big Splash Playground at East Coast Park and she often drives there for lunch with her colleagues. It is such a luxury to eat lunch at a leisure place. Thus, Angeline invites Albert to get a feel of the place.

After lunch and coffee at Old Town, Angeline insisted that they take a walk along the coast to shed off the calories and to enjoy the slow pace of life in Singapore. Angeline can be so romantic at any time.

A slow walk with causal chat for about an hour before Angeline and Albert headed further east to attend a colleague' son's birthday bash.

Angeline does love the sand, sun and sea.

P/S: Angeline even had a sundress for the beach.
P/P/S: Albert did not want to go near the water.

The Land of Everybody

Do you know 21st July is Racial Harmony Day for all Singaporeans? Angeline would be reminded of the event before it comes (just like National Day) because the school never fails to celebrate such meaningful events. That simply implies that the teachers have to dress up in different ethnic costumes, just like they had requested to do so. In 2010, Angeline wore a traditional Indian Sari for the event.

Angeline was smart enough to get some help from her ex-colleagues to borrow the sari and her current colleagues to help her wear the sari. But that did not mean Angeline was safe from tripping over the long traditional dress. To her own records, Angeline nearly fell twice when she stepped on the ends of the dress. Angeline must really be blessed.

Racial Harmony Day is memorable for all Singaporeans and we should take the effort to celebrate the event with a blast. That was why Angeline and her colleagues enjoyed the event so much, from the dressing-up, to the tables of food, to the performances and more.

It is not that bad being a teacher after all. =)

The Process of Getting Fat

Angeline thought that the title was very clear. It explained everything that Angeline has been doing all this while. Indeed, Angeline has literally been eating non-stop at parties, gathering and what-nots.

Angeline is wondering if there is any month without any event at all. If there is, Angeline must be getting lonely because she is not invited to any events. So, getting fat is worse or?

Angeline's colleagues saw her photographs taken at Crystal Jade Korean BBQ Restaurant on Facebook and asked her to bring them to try the food. Thus, Angeline went for another round of buffet within the same month. Angeline is still gasping in horror.

P/S: Angeline went for the same Korean BBQ place with her colleagues.
P/P/S: Angeline might go there again in 2011 because her quota is reached.

More Roaring Tigers

Angeline has 3 close girlfriends who are expecting in 2010. This is indeed good news because they will be born in the year of the Tiger. Angeline might be seen as the tamest tiger after a while. Hurray!

The first friend is Shu Ping who is going to deliver in August, the second friend is Hazel who is due in October and you have to make a guess for the last friend. Angeline is wondering if she has been working in this line for too long that she could tell if a woman is pregnant after one glance. After meeting up with Vanda clique at Vivo City for dinner, Angeline immediately asked her, "Do you think you have something to share with us?" And the mother-to-be replied, "Yes, I am expecting." Angeline's doubts about her growing 'fuller' vanished, as the answer seemed very justifiable. If not, she must be having a very good life at home.

Dinners with the girls are always good because we talk about everything and anything literally. It was such a pity that someone has to fall sick. Hopefully, Shu Ping will organise a baby shower in July and the girls will get to meet up again.

..... that Angeline is a 100% daddy's girl. That is why Angeline makes an effort to celebrate Father's Day every year for the 1st man of her life. The family went to 店小二 at Vivo City, as Angeline was craving for roasted duck. Angeline then told Albert, "I am the Queen so I decided what I want to eat." Albert simply replied, "Yes, Queen." This is getting better.

The bottom line is Angeline loves her Daddy because Daddy loves Angeline and Angeline would often ask Albert, "Will you love me as much as Daddy loves me?" Angeline thinks Albert is stressed.

P/S: Angeline wants to buy a Coach bag and Daddy just volunteered to buy it for her.
P/P/S: Albert is getting more stressed.

Go, Go Buffet

Angeline is going to boycott buffets till the end of the year. While she is trying her utmost best to go on her diet, her friends had to ask her out for buffets. If it is just one group of friends, Angeline could live with it. In contrast, Angeline had attended 3 buffet sessions in just one pathetic month. Angeline is so cursed when she realised that she had put on 1 kg from all the excessive eating. This is totally unacceptable and Angeline needs to have some self-control and stop eating.

The first buffet was invited by Alan and Hazel to Crystal Jade Korean BBQ at CentrePoint. The group was lucky to have Aaron to join in, as he is currently still on leave till the new job commences. The one and only bad thing about buffet is people do not know how to stop ordering thinking that they have that capacity in their stomachs to finish all the food. When they could not finish it, they would try their very best to stuff themselves with the food to avoid the surcharge. That was exactly what Aaron told the group, "There is no way that they can charge with the ala carte price!" and he proceeded to finish ALL THE FOOD on the table. Angeline who was sitting opposite him gasped in astonishment.

P/S: Angeline needs to 'zap' the fats out.
P/S: Angeline was thinking if sleeping helps too?

Government Pay-Out Day for Daddy

Of course, Angeline's Daddy needed to turn 55 before the government would give him a partial sum from his CPF account. Unknowingly, it came and the family went for a meal at Pu Tien to celebrate. This could be one of the best day for him, other than the day that Angeline was born. Wahahaha!

Dinner was good with many dishes that all of the guests were stuffed to the brim. When the bill came, the hole in Angeline's pocket became pretty obvious too! For Angeline's Daddy, it was worth the value.

P/S: Maryln was sick on that day.
P/P/S: Daddy fell sick the following day.
P/P/P/S: Angeline fell sick after which.

The Pig is Black

Under Alan's strong recommendation, the group of 5 went to Tampopo located at Liang Court for dinner after work. Their speciality is 'Black Pig', which is a special type of pork that comes from Japan. Thus, most of us ordered Fried Rice or Ramen that are being served with this type of pork.

Before dinner was served, Angeline was expecting that the pork would be black as suggested by the name. BUT it was just the normal colour of any pork that Angeline could find elsewhere. After tasting the 'Black Pig', it was indeed juicer and leaner that the rest of the pork. Furthermore, the soup of the Ramen was really good. Tampopo might see Angeline again.

P/S: Angeline is tempted to try the desserts too.

Meet Mr. Rice Ball

Angeline had her professional development course on 21st May 2010 and it turned out to be Build-A-Bear Workshop for the group of teachers. Angeline remembered that she had brought her class to that workshop located at Vivo City in 2009. Little did she knows that she is going to be engaged in the same workshop about a year later.

After the workshop, Angeline proudly presents her Mr. Rice Ball bear which is named after her favourite Taiwanese food. After 2 days, Mr. Rice Ball is still sitting in his cub condo and Angeline has no idea what she is going to do with it.

P/S: Angeline might bring Mr. Rice Ball to get his birth certificate done at Vivo City.
P/P/S: But Angeline has plans to go to Ikea today.

The K1s from Ms Angeline's class would want to sing this song for the weather to be bright and sunny so that they can go to the park to play. However, Ms Angeline would rather Mr. Sun take a break so that she would not get a sunburn so easily, especially when she planned to go out with her colleagues to Sentosa for site visit.

Unfortunately for Angeline, Mr. Sun seems to favour her wherever she goes and it was indeed bright and sunny on the day itself. Armed with only a pair of sunglasses, Angeline went ahead with the site visit and rewarded herself with Man Ji's cold desserts at the end.

P/S: Angeline has been thinking about the desserts at Man Ji.

JTA met up for their BTB gathering from time and time and the venue was decided at Xin Wang (City Link Mall) for this round. It was meant for Angeline who suddenly had a craving for her hometown Taiwanese food. Thankfully, Angeline is going back to Taiwan in December.

Angeline loves the boys to bits because they are there to share her darkest secrets and Angeline knew it would not be a kiss-and-tell session with them. Sometimes, you just needs friends like them.

A Hidden Treasure...

... is the long forgotten place hidden at Greenwood Avenue at Bukit Timah that Angeline used to frequent L'estaminet when she was still working at Vanda Road.

After picking Alan and Hazel from their home at Bukit Panjang, the 4 people in the car were trying to decide on a venue for their dinner. Angeline suddenly remembered the hidden treasure located at Greenwood Avenue. Thus, L'estaminet was decided for dinner.

Under Angeline's strong recommendation, the XXL pizza and the Portobella Mushroom were ordered. Thumbs-up!

Angeline should really go back to L'estaminet with her Vanda group of friends for a round of nostalgia.

P/S: Angeline really loves the thin-crust XXL pizza.
P/P/S: Angeline might try their beer the next time.

The Favourite Ministry of Singapore

is definitely the Ministry of Food. Angeline and Albert love the Ministry of Food located at Suntec City and they have been there a couple of times. Angeline is totally captivated by their variety of desserts and she is so tempted to eat more because her favourite Kanten Jelly has both nourishing and beauty effects.

Angeline actually also like the Ministry of Education too!

P/S: Angeline is also mesmerised by the selection of drinks.
P/P/S: Angeline would like to try Macha with Coffee.

The First Gown

If there is anything that a man needs to wear a gown, it must be their graduation gown. This is also the gown that Ck has been wanting to wear since four and a half years ago. Now, Angeline is looking forward to wear her second gown.

A simple ceremony that happened within 1 hour and Angeline was so busy chatting Ck's mother that they had forgotten to take a photograph of him receiving the award. They only realised when they heard his name being announced and it was too late when Angeline rushed forward trying to get a snap shot. Thankfully, the school has the professional photographer to capture that sacred moment for Ck. If not, Angeline would be in the 'hottest soup' ever.

All ended well with a buffet meal to Angeline's delight.

Red Circle on the Red Dot

Red Dot = Singapore
Therefore, Red Circle on the Red Dot refers to Shokudo in Singapore at Raffles City.
Difficult to comprehend? Perhaps.

Angeline went to the Red Circle with Albert, Alan, Aaron, Hazel, Maggie and Adrianna. It was arranged as a gathering to talk about the coming trip Taiwan trip for Adrianna and Jon. Angeline felt sad because Angeline is not going with them. BUT Angeline will be going in December and Angeline just drove all the way to Geylang for a Taiwanese breakfast. Angeline should really be living in Taiwan.

The food was really average but the conversation was super entertaining. The dinner literally ended with a bang by Alan suggesting going away for a short weekend getaway. With the great amount of people who knows how to play mahjong, the group might need to bring 2 sets of mahjong along. Out came a sentence from Aaron, "But you can reverse to the other side and wear it." All of us had a confused look on our faces thinking, "Why do we need to reverse the tiles and show them to all the other players and WEAR IT?" Angeline was the first to burst out laughing and told Aaron that Alan was talking about mahjong and not briefs. Before Angeline could finish her sentence, the rest of the group was in so much laughter. Good one, boy!

P/S: Angeline went straight home after dinner.
P/P/S: Angeline was too tired that week, so no mahjong.

Sweet Treats

Angeline thought she was in for a treat when Jamilah offered to organise a dinner gathering for the ladies. To make it super convenient for *ahem*, it was arranged at Holland Village. Angeline definitely did not belong to the *ahem* category for sure, as she had to travel all the way from Mountbatten Road, from the east to the west.

Despite the long distance, Angeline thought that the trip was worthwhile. The food and the desserts were fabulously good and Angeline was craving for more. She was the first to finish her food that night and wanted to have some sweet treats. Therefore, the food must be really delicious or the portion was miserable or Angeline was really hungry. You decide for yourself.

The company was of course good la, just the usual. But the joke was to test your pronunciation of 'sheet' and 'shit'. If you are proficient enough in English, you will be able to say it out correctly. Angeline got it right by emphasizing longer on the first word but Angelique was rather tickled and could not stop laughing. She must be thinking otherwise. Try it!

P/S: The decision was really tough.

The Theory of Confusion

Angeline was intrigued by her boss's invitation to try the 'Confused Pau'. Indeed, she had a very 'confused' look on her face after taking a bite of the 'pau'. It was a kind of 'huat kuah' with salted egg filling in it. Angeline was thinking how not to get confused with a mix of savory and sweet taste in one bite. Should Angeline praise or condemn the chef?

P/S: Angeline had a lot of other tim sum.
P/P/S: Angeline wants to go there again but she needs to master how to do parallel parking.

The 1 CNY Episode..........

.......... took place at Jo's house on 20th February 2010. Angeline even called Jo a day earlier to tell her that she would be bringing Yu Sheng for the gathering and she would most probably arrive at around 1pm since the door would be open after that time. With a laugh, Jo replied, "See at 3pm tomorrow." and she hung up the phone.

On the day itself, Angeline knocked on Jo's door at 5 minutes after 1pm exactly. That is indeed an improvement! Wahahahahahaha!

4 hours of non-stop gossip and laughter was super therapeutic for Angeline. On top of that, Angeline left with a fat tummy. This must be only one and bad news!

P/S: Angeline bought the Yu Sheng from Sakae and it was good.
P/P/S: Angeline thought of buying the cupcakes from My Bread by Crystal Jade.

The Art of Gaining..........

.......... weight is indeed Angeline's forte. For no reason, Angeline loves to eat and she is not able to stop eating even though she is full, especially when it comes to sweet treats like ice-cream. After a heavy meal of BBQ and steamboat at Yuki Yaki, Angeline and company went to savour the goodness of Andersen's Ice-Cream immediately.

Angeline is beginning to wonder if Mr. and Mrs. Siew are good company. Angeline do not want to become fat fat.

P/S: Angeline has NOT stopped eating since the first day of Chinese New Year.
P/P/S: Angeline has NOT stepped onto the weighing machine since then.

As Valentine's Day fell on the same day at Chinese New Year, Angeline and Albert did not get to really celebrate it. Thus, plans were made before the actual day itself. To Angeline's delight, Albert did make the effort to surprise her with a bouquet of roses. To Albert's delight, Angeline bought him a new watch and brought it over to his workplace when he had to do overtime.

On the day itself when the all the visiting was done, Angeline and Albert went over to Mc Cafe at Great World City for coffee, got bored and decided to call the gang for mahjong. That was how they decided to celebrate Valentine's day eventually. Haha!

P/S: Angeline did receive something else for Valentine's Day.
P/P/S: The bouquet was given on Friday when Angeline picked Albert at the Lobby.

The Start

The last day of Angeline's long leave is also the start of a new hunt. Angeline and Albert have been on the hunt for the past week. They have been to Singapore Botanic Gardens, Fort Canning, Fairmont, Swiss Cafe and many others are still on their list. Those venues that are to Angeline's liking are not to the likes of Albert's pocket. This is indeed tricky and time is not with them with the overload at work.

As noted, the first stop is Singapore Botanic Gardens. Alan and Hazel were very kind to accompany them on the site visit. After walking around the ENTIRE park for 1 hour, the 2 couples decided to hitch a ride on the buggy back to the car park. Upon switching on the air-con when they got into the car, Hazel praised the inventor of air-con and everyone applauded.

P/S: Angeline and Albert decided that Singapore Botanic Gardens is not going to be the venue.

came knocking on Angeline's door, Angeline went to knock on the doors of IndoChine (Club Street) and had a taste of Asian Fine Dinning. All Angeline could say was the bonus came in time to pay for the dinner!

A Christmas without Snow

For the past 26 years of Angeline's life, she never had a Christmas with snow. In 2009, Christmas was celebrated with smoke. The clique decided to organise a BBQ Christmas Gathering at Alan's mother's house, as she was out of town on the eve itself. That was quite an idea. Think about it!

Angeline had her last BBQ when she was 20 years old. Freaking 6 years apart could do lots of damage, for example, the fire got started after 1 hour odd (with Angeline's contribution too). If you are thinking of the preparation work, the clique was smart enough to order EVERYTHING from BBQ Express, which includes mesh wire, tongs, paper plates, plastic forks, plastic spoons, butter, fire starters, ice, drinks, fried rice, fried bee hoon, chicken wings, chicken cutlet, hot dogs, crab sticks, marshmallows and more. Angeline thought it was rather a good bargain for only about S$180.00, which came up to about S$20.00 per person. Angeline was just thinking if they could help to start the fire too, she would not mind paying for the charges too.

In a nutshell, the BBQ Christmas Gathering 2009 was a BLAST!

11 years ago, a group of Convent girls graduated from St. Theresa's Convent and moved onto different directions in life. 11 years later, this same group of Convent girls met up for their annual gathering. The venue was decided at Orchard Central.

With everyone trying to outwit each other in remembering their classmates and teachers, Angeline realised that she has forgotten quite a significant number of names from her convent days. This is indeed worrying for Angeline.

Angeline always love bitching around with the convent girls because gossips are always meant for sharing. Angeline likes that last bit the best.

P/S: Angeline hopes that someone would be able to attend the gathering in 2011.

was the sound that the indicator would made when your order at Xian Yu Xian was ready for collection. How cool is that right!!!

On the very first night in Taipei, Angeline and Albert patronised Xian Yu Xian. They were walking along the streets and feeling very (very, very) cold when they saw this shop serving hot desserts. Without hesitation, the couple walked in, took a seat and ordered a bowl of Almond Paste for sharing. It was indeed a good choice because it was such a big bowl of Almond Paste full of ingredients and it was only for NT$50.

As Angeline was typing this entry, she was thinking of visiting 'Ji De Chi' at Jurong Point for some hot desserts. It is so obvious that she could not fly all the way to Taipei to eat the Almond Paste. Therefore, the Almond Paste at 'Ji De Chi' should do the trick for the time being.

P/S: Angeline did not go to 'Ji De Chi'.
P/P/S: Instead, she went to IndoChine.

Wu Fen Bu was a shopping paradise for Angeline. In contrast, Xi Men Ding was a shopping paradise for Albert and Angeline was not so fascinated at Xi Men Ding. Given Albert's spending habit, he actually bought 1 pair of Nike shoes, 1 pair of Adidas shoes and a bag at Xi Men Ding. For Angeline, that was something to remember about.

At Xi Men Ding, Angeline and Albert walked past a row of 'Zua Zua Le' machines. Honestly, Angeline did not know the name of those machines and it was given to them by Angeline herself. Just like 4 years ago, Albert went to Taipei, caught a dog, brought it back to Singapore and gave it to Angeline. 4 years later, Albert went to Taipei, caught a turtle and gave it to Angeline in Taipei. Angeline just told Albert that he is good with such machines. Albert seems to believe Angeline.

Did Angeline mention that Albert has a liking for CURRY? He had been eating Curry on every occasion that he could have. Without a doubt, Albert saw the 'Curry House' at Xi Men Ding and wanted to eat there. Angeline became the photographer during his dinner. You could guess as much that Angeline is not a great fan of Curry as compared to Albert.

P/P/S: Angeline and Albert did not eat at the Toilet Theme Restaurant.

Clouds Nine

Angeline was literally on clouds nine when she went to Wu Fen Bu at Hou Shan Pi. Wu Fen Bu was a shopping paradise for Angeline. How could it not be when Angeline bought 15 pieces of clothing, 6 bags, 5 hairbands, 4 pairs of shoes and some miscellaneous accessories (belt and earings)? Angeline even went to Wu Fen Bu again on the very last night to spend the remaining NT dollars.

Bring Wu Fen Bu to Singapore, as Angeline could not go there very often. This seems like a better way. Angeline is so smart!

P/S: There is really no wholesale shopping in Singapore.

The Kick-Start

of visiting the Night Markets in Taipei was Tong Hua. The first packet of Chicken Cutlet was bought at that night market. The first pot of internal organs was eaten at that night market. The first bag that Angeline bought in Taipei was purchased at Tong Hua. Thus, Tong Hua should have left a deep impression on Angeline. Due to certain unknown reasons, Angeline did not remember anything else other than the 3 mentioned above. Angeline did not even know how to write 'Tong Hua' in Chinese. Angeline wonders what actually happened. Angeline would like to clarify that she is not getting senile.

P/S: Angeline gave up wondering.

Angeline is still wondering how on earth did the 5 days seemed like 5 hours in Taipei. Before Angeline knew it, she was back at Tao Yuan International Airport departing back to Singapore.

Just before she boarded the departure gate, she kept on breathing the last bit of Taipei's cool air as she knew there would be none in Singapore. Maybe she could turn the air con really cool and keeps on breathing whenever she misses the cool air. That's right!

P/S: Angeline has not done that act yet.

After 2 years of planning (and procrastination), Angeline and Albert finally arrived at Taipei on 30th November 2009. WOW!

When the couple were picked up at Tao Yuan International Airport, the tour guide suggested to them that they might want to wear their coats as the weather was chilly. Angeline and Albert thought that 19 degree Celsius (as reported on SQ876) was just like air-con room temperature and it was unnecessary to wear the coat. WRONG! The moment the couple stepped out from Tao Yuan International Airport, they wore their coat and Angeline zipped it up because the tour guide was right after all.

P/S: The weather was chilly throughout the 5 days stay in Taipei.

唐 vs. 糖

唐 refers to the Tang Dynasty from China's History whereas 糖 refers to the sweets or candies that Angeline love to eat. In Cantonese, the dialect also refers to the desserts that are served after dinner. These two Chinese words sound exactly the same but used in very different contexts. Maybe that is why Angeline did not score well for Chinese.

糖朝 is the name of a restaurant next to the San Want Hotel that Albert and Angeline had stayed during their Taipei vacation. This restaurant serves Hong Kong Cuisine, namely dim sum and desserts. Since Angeline has a sweet tooth, she was naturally tempted to try the desserts after walking past the restaurant every single day. By the end of the 4th day, Angeline finally managed to convince Albert to give it a try.

The couple ordered 1 Bean Curd with Sesame Paste, 1 Bean Curd with Green Bean Soup, 1 plate of Char Siew Rice Rolls and 1 Seaweed Squid Dim Sim. Angeline nearly gave out a YELP when she saw the total bill of NT$400.00 which is equivalent to S$18.00. Now, it is your turn to YELP!

P/S: Angeline did not deny that the desserts tasted delicious!

Ti-Ti

Commuters in Singapore will hear the 'ti-ti' sound on a daily basis whenever they scan their Ez-Link Card on the Reader. What about in Taipei?

In Taipei, the commuters use a card similar to that of the Ez-Link Card whenever they take the bus, Taipei Metro and High Speed Rail. The only difference is the Card Reader will produce a 'du' instead of the 'ti-ti'. Throughout the 5 days in Taipei, Angeline only realized it on the 5th day. It is still not that bad. At least, she spotted the difference. Try asking Albert then!

The Taipei Metro works just like the Singapore's SMRT Trains. It brings commuters to their destination safely within reasonable travelling time. Some stations even have officers to remind people to stand behind the yellow line orderly. Despite the rush hour crowds, the commuters would still line up in 2 rows and board the Taipei Metro in an orderly fashion, no fuss at all. Imagine Singapore's rush hour crowds!

Angeline thinks that it is indeed a great convenience to travel around Taipei via the Metro. Maybe Angeline should start commuting around Singapore via the SMART Trains.

P/S: Angeline is a bus person.

Up, Up and Away!

As an Early Childhood educator, Angeline developed an occupational hazard and insisted on taking a photograph at the Children's Playground before boarding the plane.

As a Koi Fish lover, Albert insisted on taking a photograph at the Koi Pond before boarding the plane.

Therefore, the conclusion drawn is Singapore Changi Airport's Terminal 3 is indeed very impressive to accommodate the likes of different people. Credits given again!

P/S: Angeline thought everyone would take photographs of the airplane, so they did it too.

It is not really that tricky to guess that 'something' that you can find it Singapore, isn't it?

Of course, it is the most famous Shi Lin Night Market that every tourist in Taipei would bound to visit. At least, Angeline and Albert went there to eat and shop, eat and shop, eat and shop. Point taken!

Upon arrival at Shi Lin, Albert and Angeline was adamant to try 'Ah Zong Mee Suan' that Alan (once again) had strongly recommended. After walking 2 rounds at Shi Lin, the couple still could not find it and was almost on the verge of giving up when that signboard of 'Ah Zong Mee Suan' appeared right above them. They had actually walked past the shop without realizing it. Well, Angeline is not really strong in her recognition of Chinese Characters. Honestly, Angeline did not even know how the word 'Zong' was written until Albert spotted it out. Angeline was merely looking for a shop that sells 'Mee Suan' in hope that it turned out to be called 'Ah Zong'.

Next was the Hao Da Da Chicken Cutlet that Albert was so keen to eat. Thankfully, it was just located along the roadside and super easy to find. The couple was in luck when there was no queue in front of the stall. Albert even told Angeline that they were really lucky. Angeline was just thinking, "How yummy can it be when there is no queue?" Angeline must be intoxicated by the Singaporean's queuing culture.

P/S: Angeline was so tempted to play Mahjong.

is the 'Lu Wei' (卤味) from Shi Da Night Market. It was a plate of noodles filled with internal organs and blood cubes of animals. Angeline could imagine the cholesterol level after polishing off whatever was served on that plate. San want Hotel Taipei is perfectly positioned on Zhong Xiao East Road, the heart of Taipei's commercial, shopping and entertainment district. within easy access of the business and shopping districts, such as Taipei World Convention and Exhibition Center and Taipei 101, the proximity to Taipei Metro also bring convenience and access to both business and tourist sites of the city. Indeed, Angeline and Albert loves the location of this hotel, as it brought them much convenience when travelling around Taipei. Can you imagine that the Taipei Metro is just next to the hotel? The design and comfort of San Want Hotel Taipei is comparably to many boutique in Singapore. Angeline would like to stay at San Want in 2010.

Oh yes, Angeline loves the 'Wang Wang' that she saw at the Hotel Lobby and just like Hong Kong Disneyland, almost everything in the Hotel bear the 'Wang Wang' logo. If you don't know who is 'Wang Wang', Angeline is speechless.

P/S: Angeline wonders if Albert got the hint.

The Very First...

Angeline always love flying with Singapore Airlines, simply because she is proud to be a Singaporean. OK, Angeline shall be more honest to confess that Angeline loves to have her own remote control to manipulate on board the plane.

Angeline is one person who is not able to sit still for an extended period of time. Throughout the 4 hours flight to Taipei on SQ876, Angeline has surfed the 100 channels, played with the Nintendo games and even listened to the music channels. Not mentioning disturbing Albert endlessly because she was just getting really restless. Angeline always wonders if there is a way to transport herself from one country to another within an instance, take for example, using Harry Potter's sorcery.

P/S: Did Angeline mention that she got a real bargain for this flight?

Good Morning, Ms Angeline!

When Angeline goes to work on a normal weekday, the children will greet her 'Ms Angeline' with a happy smile and if she gets lucky, she even gets a hug! Throughout the 5 days that Angeline spent in Taipei, it was indeed a change when she heard "Good morning, dear" and it followed swiftly by "I am HUNGRY".

Nonetheless, Angeline enjoyed the serenity of eating breakfast with Albert. It has been a long time since the couple could stroll along the streets, buy any food randomly and savour their food slowly. But then again, Angeline does not know anyone who actually does that in Singapore yet.

P/S: Dante Coffee reminds Angeline of Dante literally.

Angeline made a Mistake

The last night at Taipei was planned to visit Taipei 101, as it was one of the major tourist attraction after all. However, Angeline was really keen to visit 幸福 (Happiness) Ferris Wheel after watching some Taiwanese idol dramas online. Albert was not very fascinated and kept on asking her if she got the name correct. How can Angeline get the name of '幸福摩天轮' wrong when she heard it countless times on from that drama?

As the 'Happiness' Ferris Wheel was not listed on the map, Albert had to ask the service staff at the Taipei Metro for direction. Initially, the service staff looked confused and asked him to repeat the name of the place again. After thinking for a while (rather long), the service staff asked him if he was asking about 'MIRAMAR FERRIS WHEEL'. Angeline wished that there was a hole for her to hide somewhere at that very point in time.

Well, Angeline and Albert still made it to MIRAMAR FERRIS WHEEL successfully and they had the most 'romantic' evening. On a second note, Angeline and Albert were glad when the ride was over, as they were both terrified of height.

P/S: Angeline had not watched any drama since she came back.

Devotion

Albert has been a devoted Buddhist since a few years ago. When Angeline says devoted, she literally means devoted. Albert would go to the temple every Saturdays and go vegetarian on the 1st and 15th day of the lunar month. Of course, Albert would want to go and visit the famous Long Shan Temple at Taipei when they were there.

Angeline would love to visit the museums if they have the time too.

P/S: Angeline prays hard for a good 2010.

Up to the Mountain Top

Before Angeline made her trip to Taipei, Alan kept on reminding her that she has to visit this place called Jiu Fen. Thus, Angeline is resolute to make a trip there without knowing what the place is all about.

As suggested by the hotel staff, Albert and Angeline walked to the bus stop and boarded the bus that read 'Jiu Fen'. The bus journey for Jiu Fen thus started for Angeline. She began to enjoy looking at the scenery as the bus travelled around Taipei city. After about 20 minutes or so, Angeline began to doze off and only woke up about 45 minutes later. She looked out of the windows and she saw that she was at the mountainous area. Of course, Angeline got a shock la!

Angeline nudged Albert and asked him where exactly they are. He replied that he had no idea. This is indeed Albert's typical answer that you can expect to get. Thankfully, he asked the driver and he told us that Jiu Fen is about another 20 minutes drive from their location. After digesting the information, Angeline realised that Jiu Fen is actually on the mountain and she had no idea at all. Angeline is really so informative at times.

Upon their arrival at Jiu Fen, the couple immediately zipped up their coats as it was freezing cold. After they had warmed up to the temperature, they took a good look at the scenery and found out that it was indeed very breath-taking. Maybe Alan did made a right recommendation after all. Even though Alan's intention to ask them to go to Jiu Fen was to buy the 'Sun Biscuits' from the shop located opposite a 7-11 store, which is so easy to find once you alight from the bus. Did Angeline forget to mention that earlier?

A walk along the streets of Jiu Fen was extremely rewarding for Angeline and Albert, as they tasted many local delicacies, such as cha guo, Taiwan sausages and the most famous duck's tongue. The couple even had time to spend at a mountain villa for a cuppa leisurely.

On their way back to Taipei city, Albert promised to take the train with Angeline. Angeline simply love trains, other than boarding SMRT trains and watching Thomas the Train cartoons. Angeline can be so hard to understand.

P/S: Angeline did not buy anything from Jiu Fen because they are all FOOD!

Black-White-All-Eat (黑白通吃)

The title is a direct translation of the dessert shop that Albert and Albert visited on their last day of the Taipei trip.

Ever since the first day that Angeline tasted a bowl of Almond Paste at one of the dessert shop, she has been craving hard to eat that again. Fortunately for Albert, they found it at the eleventh hour, which was just 30 minutes before departing to Tao Yun International Airport.

Albert took the cold Soy Ice Dessert whereas Angeline ordered a Yam Paste Dessert. With a satisfied look on their face, they headed back to the hotel and took the airport transfer to Tao Yuan. Angeline is a lucky girl!

P/S: As Angeline typed this entry, Angeline feels like eating the dessert again. Oh no!

High on Air

Angie is the name that the boys (Tim and John) gave her since she was 18 years old. Angeline seems to have different names with different groups of friends. This is really getting to Angeline. Imagine Albert picking up Angeline's phone one day and the caller is asking for Angie and Albert would reply no such person. Haha! This is still not the most unrelated name. Imagine, Koon and Aisha!

Angie met the boys at Vivo City with her just a mere 5 minutes late and the boys were complaining that she was so late. Well, they were at least half an hour earlier than the arranged time. Gosh, Angie is puzzled.

Kim Gary was the venue for dinner and drinks was at Modesto's. From the photographs taken, it could have been easily mistaken that the trio ordered alcoholic drinks and they were obvious high from the effects.

WRONG! They only had tea. The trio simply got high on air that they were breathing. It must be, as Angeline found no explanation for the continuous laughter, endless ideas for cam-whoring and non-stop gossiping.

Flooded with Food

Throughout Angeline and Albert's entire Taipei trip, the couple has been bombarded with lots and lots of food literally. They couldn't stop eating from the moment they started walking out of their hotel. Angeline is so thankful that she didn't put on any weight when she returned to Singapore.

From 'Ba Fang Yun Ji', Angeline and Albert tasted traditional soy drinks, fried dumplings and steamed dumplings. Thumb-up and Angeline could really use the energy from her food intake for more shopping! Angeline just found another excuse for her to continue eating!

P/S: The Chives Dumplings are the BEST!

Travelling with Time

Say 'STOP' to Mr. Time and take a walk with Angeline and Albert to Dan Shui in Taipei. The couple spent one hour travelling leisurely to Dan Shui via Taipei Metro. Upon arrival, the couple spent another hour strolling along the old streets at Dan Shui and the bank of the river. The utmost challenge was to walk 2 hours all the way to Fisherman's Wharf. Angeline was just kidding. The couple took a ten minutes bus ride to Fisherman's Wharf from the junction of Dan Shui Lao Jie.

When Angeline finally reached Fisherman's Wharf, she thought the scenery might be worth the 2 hours walk after all (at the every last resort if she had to). The couple was indeed blessed with excellent weather to have such 'photoshop-ed' pictures with their Sony 8 Megapixel camera.

Lot of adventures awaited Angeline and Albert at Dan Shui! Woohoo!

P/S: Angeline indeed spent a great deal of time editing the photographs.

The Bookworms

It should be common fact that Albert is a huge fan of Manga. But this is definitely going to be 'new' news that Angeline is a bookworm too. Honestly, it could be due to Angeline's occupational hazard that she has to keep on reading both fiction and non-fiction books. You do not expect Angeline to get tongue tight when her class asks her questions and all she can say is "hm.........................." Angeline do not want to get BOO at!

Visiting Chen Pin Book Store was definitely on Angeline and Albert's Taipei agenda. The couple spent the whole morning browsing through stories, comics, learning resources, web planners and even stationery. How cool is that!

Albert was even thinking of buying an entire set of comics (55 books in total) back to Singapore. Gosh, think of the excess baggage charge! After much deliberation, he only bought 2 comics. Phew!

P/S: Nothing caught Angeline's attention.

Albert's 7-11 Frenzy

Just in case that you are not aware, Angeline and Albert went to Taipei on 30th November 2009 and came back to Singapore on 4th December 2009. The long awaited trip by Angeline had finally been accomplished. Give 3 cheers to Albert now!

The first entry about Taipei shall be contributed to Albert's fantasy about Taipei's 7-11. Ever since he saw the commercial on a new product named 'Hand Held Lunch Box' on TV at the hotel, he had been jumping at every chance to buy and try it literally. Well, he managed to buy it on his very last night. He was considered pretty lucky in that sense. That was a blessing to Angeline's too!

The Debate - Mid or Late

Angeline is finally 26 years old. Just before Angeline turns 26, she was in a debate with Albert. Angeline concluded that 26 is considered as mid twenties. However, Albert begs to differ and regards 26 as late twenties. Sometimes, Angeline just thinks that Albert can be so insensitive.

The first birthday celebration was arranged with friends at Funan Weng's (one of Angeline's children's mother's restaurant - complicated). Angeline really likes the Ipoh Hor Fun served at the restaurant. Even though it was just a simple dinner celebration with the birthday cake, thoughtful presents and bright sunflowers, Angeline totally enjoyed the time spent!

P/S: Angeline loves all the presents.

The Special Day

Angeline and Albert took a day leave on 10th November 2009. A day off on Tuesday feels so good for the couple. One, shopping malls are usually less crowded. Two, the week feels shorter. Three, Angeline got a day rest away from work.

The special day was not really that special because there was no special plans made. The couple simply picked a shopping mall and did some shopping. Next, the couple simply picked a restaurant and ate their dinner. Maybe it should be called the SIMPLE day.

As Angeline turns 26 this year, she only has a birthday wish. May that wish comes true in 2010!

A Surprise

On 10th November 2009, Angeline's family brought her a Tiramisu Cake to celebrate. After the celebration, Angeline thinks that she definitely had outgrown the stage of singing the birthday song, making a birthday wish and cutting the birthday cake. Weird!

A Mixutre of Happiness and Nostalgic

The Vanda girls met up again for a series of celebration. One, it was Lissa's farewell dinner. Two, it was Wahila's farewell dinner. Three, it was Jamilah's birthday dinner. Four, it was Angeline's birthday dinner. Since everyone has a reason to celebrate, Shu Ping wanted to celebrate her happy marriage (as suggested by Jo).

The dinner was decided at Astons (Suntec). Angeline likes that restaurant very much. What is there not to like if the food is delicious, the serving is huge and the price is reasonable. However, the service crew left an even deeper impression on Jamilah on her first visit to Astons. First, they got her order of Salmon mixed up with a Chargrilled chicken. Next, they mixed up her two side dishes and gave her something that none of us had ordered. Last but not least, one of the side dish was corn on the cob which was extremely to eat and it took Jamilah a 'while' to conquer. Better luck the next time then!

Next on the agenda was coffee at TCC where the gossips seemed to stream in endlessly with Wahila talking and answering most of everyone's everything. This was indeed puzzling and confusing for Angeline. Nonetheless, everyone had a good laugh and they had discovered a secret. Shh!

After Angeline worked at Schoolhouse by the Bay for two years, Angeline made more friends. Unknown to many people, Angeline is a slow to warm up person and she does not open up to many of her acquaintances easily.

Getting to know know people had allowed Angeline to discover that she has many colleagues who shared the same horoscope as her and they worked miraculously well together. Thus, Angeline and her colleagues decided to throw a mini birthday celebration for themselves.

Angeline is responsible for the purchase of the cake and she bought a Tropical Mango Cake for the occasion. Though it tasted slightly sour, Angeline still thinks that it is pretty sweet. After all, the celebration is indeed joyous for them!

P/S: Angeline hopes to spend a few more years at Schoolhouse.

PPX is back!

On Tuesday evening, Angeline received a sms while watching TV at home. She was still wondering who could it be, as not many people would sms Angeline around that time. It turned out to be Sharon who is back from Australia. It had been a good 2 years since Angeline last contacted Sharon.

Thus, Angeline called Sharon immediately and arranged a time to meet up for coffee. It was arranged for Sunday afternoon at Orchard Road. It was considered a relatively short coffee session, perhaps just about an hour. However, Angeline realises that Sharon is one friend whom she could talk to about anything in the Universe. The friendship is still there despite there is no contact between them for 2 whole years.

Thankfully, Angeline has many of those friends like Sharon. This is indeed Angeline's blessing.

Angeline and Albert celebrated their 4th anniversary on 21st October 2009. The celebration was kept very simple with a cake, a bouquet of flowers, a romantic dinner and the presents.

Angeline believes that there will be more anniversaries to celebrate together with this man, simply because they click and know what makes each other tick. True and true enough, Angeline found the man.

As the saying goes, 'To the World, you may be one person. BUT to one person, you may be the World.' Angeline shall conquer Albert's World then or is it the reverse?

P/S: Ck did not just get the Eureka's DVD.

Angeline's New Mahjong Place

Angeline found a new mahjong place that is located at Toh Guan Road, which is just a stone's throw away from her place. What are you waiting for? Hurry up and congratulate Angeline!

Thinking again, you should extend your congratulations to Shu Ping and Clifton who had decided to make their matrimonial home at Toh Guan Road. After that, you should still congratulate Angeline for her new found treasure.

Along with the rest of the Vanda clique, Angeline made her way to attend Shu Ping and Clifton's house warming on 10 October 2009. Everyone was fascinated by the BIG clock and wanted to take a group portrait with it. If the couple wants to sell their flat in the future, they could simply throw that BIG clock in and they might just get a higher selling price. Think about that!

The next highlight was the 'RAIN SHOWER'. It was that significant that both Angeline and Wahila took turns to pose with it. Perhaps only the girls get it! Enough said!

P/S: Angeline might just get a rain shower for her new place (if she has one).

Aisha's Visit to Wahila's Open House

Before Aisha could reach Wahila's house, she already got herself lost in Punggol. That is why Aisha would never ever want to stay at that place. After much twists, turns and u-turns, Aisha got to Wahila's residence at Punggol Field in one piece.

For some reasons, Aisha was not the latest despite her rushing from a friend's wedding lunch. Maybe this could be the one and only reason why Aisha is friends with them. It is really hard to kick away this habit of being 'LATE'. Oh!

Upon her arrival, Aisha wasted no time and started taking photographs of those who were there. Papan (Lissa) was not featured once again because she was always in a hurry to leave once Aisha had arrived. Because Papan is also known as Mrs. Lim, she could be excused.

Old Vanda staff and the new Vanda staff were all featured in the photographs. Aisha wondered if Vanda has a special ability to hold people's relationships together despite most of us working for different schools now? It could be because the girls got more gossips to share now that no one would ever know. Perhaps!

Aisha is looking to the multiple celebrations on the 28th November 2009 with the girls!

No. 1 = Luan

The girls got it right when they guessed that Luan would be the first to walk down the aisle. Indeed, the girls' prediction came true when Luan tied the knot with Li Kiat on 4 October 2009 at CSCC. It was not that difficult to make the right guess at that point in time!

Luan and Kiat decided on a wedding lunch at Civil Servant Country Club, which is a super ideal location for Angeline. The club is situated at Bukit Batok and Angeline lives in Jurong. Thus, Angeline did not wake up super early to get ready for the lunch and she could get more of her beauty sleep. Cindy was not too thrilled though because she lives in Tampines. Angeline would remind Jean to throw her wedding banquet at a more convenient location. Angeline is really not hinting at anything?

Luan and Kiat's wedding lunch was one of the best that Angeline had attended! First, there was a live band on stage. Second, there were dedications made specially for the newly weds with the papers left on each paper for the guests to write. Third, the guests were allowed to sing Karaoke! How cool is that! Last but not least, the FOOD was great! Perhaps, that could be the best reason why Angeline thought that it was that fantastic!

Though it might be the most cliche thing to say, BUT Angeline still have to say it, "Congratulations, Luan and Kiat!" The girls are looking forward to receive the invitation of your baby's first month. 恭喜恭喜!

Roundest, Fullest and Brightest

Going by the lunar calendar, Angeline is almost a month late to blog the Mid-Autumn Festival's celebration. In fact, Angeline should not even bothered to blog about it at all because no one would be interested. But then again, this is WHAT Angeline wants herself to remember. So, you will have to bear with it! Angeline can be so mean!

To celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival 2009, Angeline bought the traditional paper lanterns, the moon cakes from St. Regis, the original Chinese tea set and even the pomelo. With everything prepared, Angeline was looking forward to celebrate the festival, just like her childhood days. And IT HAD TO RAIN! So, Angeline celebrated the festival in HER traditional way of playing MAHJONG. Very, very interesting!

P/S: Angeline could be so LAZY!

A New Discovery

When Angeline was very young, her granny would also tell her that her grandpa liked to go to Keong Saik Road located at Chinatown to look for good food. However, Angeline never know about any good restaurants found along that stretch of road.

True and true enough, Keong Saik Road indeed has a chain of restaurants that serve CHEAP and good food. You just have to know where to find it. The Coral Village was strongly recommended by June (Hazel's sister) when Angeline was at her saloon having a hair-cut and the 2 couples were indecisive about the venue for dinner.

Thus, Coral Village shall be the choice for that night and it was the BEST decision. First, the decor of the restaurant was a good mix of retro with oriental. Second, the food was super reasonably priced. Third, you can go to their bar for a couple of drinks after dinner. Fourth, it is within walking distance from Chinatown MRT station. Fifth, Angeline is recommending you the restaurant. Wahaha!

It was really a value for money dinner spent together with good companionship!

P/S: Angeline was wearing a tube top.

A New Record

The monthly dinner gathering for the girls had broken a new record with Elly and Jo joining the group. This was indeed their very first time and let's look forward to many more in October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September and the cycle goes all over again! Wahila left a comment in Angeline's photo album on Facebook that it was a great dinner with laughter and 'bombastic news'. Angeline totally agreed and the 3 hours spent at New York New York seemed to be over in a blink of an eye. There were still more updates to be shared and more jokes to be laughed over. Angeline is so looking forward to their next monthly gathering and she is already sourcing for good restaurants to recommend the girls. Angeline really misses those times when they were still working together. Maybe, there will still be a chance?

The Conquest

Angeline made it to the top of the wall at Climbers Laboratory. Unbelievable!

Angeline is so proud of herself because she managed to conquer her own fear of heights.

Honestly, Angeline just didn't want her children to 'announce' to the whole world that she didn't make it to the top. That just didn't seem too promising. Beside, most of the children and their parents made it to the top too. Therefore, Angeline swore that she better made it to the top and she really did it! Woohoo!

P/S: Angeline didn't look down when she was at the top.
P/P/S: Angeline did the L-shaped to walk down the wall and that felt good!

The Last One

Remember the most substantial present that Ck had received was the Raoul Wallet? It was the last surprise that Angeline had planned for Ck on his 27th birthday.

The initial plan was to steal his Identity Card and buy him a phone with the upgrade of his plan. However, Angeline did not want to go to jail for committing a crime. Therefore, a wallet is a better choice when compared.

Raoul seems like a good brand for a banking executive and the decision was made with no fuss. Thus, Angeline bought the wallet and gave it to him upon their check-in at Marina Mandarin Hotel.

It was indeed a surprise for Ck because he thought all the surprises had ended on the day before. All in all, Angeline must be the biggest surprise because she could be so sweet (once again)!

P/S: Angeline and Ck went to the Mint Museum of Toys and Jumbo Riverwalk on 21st August 2009.

An Asian Choice

Angeline ended the previous entry with the conclusion of her being the sweet partner. Somehow, Angeline's friends are not really convinced of this. That is alright because Angeline is going to make her friends believe her right away.

After coffee, Angeline told Ck that she should take a walk to Chinatown Point where Aunt Jessie's office is located at, as they needed to book the Singapore Airlines tickets for Taiwan. Initially, Ck thought that Angeline must be cuckoo because Angeline was wearing a pair of 3-inch heels. However, he caved in when Angeline insisted.

Angeline was not being cuckoo. Angeline MUST walk to Chinatown Point because the route would pass by Riverwalk where Angeline had make a reservation at Jumbo with Ck's friends waiting.

In a way, Angeline literally tricked Ck into the surprise. Upon arrival at Riverwalk, Angeline told Ck that she needed to use the toilet. She also suggested that Ck used the toilet too. While he was inside, Angeline rushed to Jumbo to meet up with the rest.

Once he was out, Ck rang Angeline and directions were given to him until he reached the table to find everyone (Hazel, Alan, Alex and Angeline) waiting for him! Thankfully, Angeline made the right choice of choosing Asian food over other cuisines because Ck enjoyed the seafood feast very much. Practically, everyone enjoyed the seafood feast to a varying degree!

P/S: Angeline watched everyone eat Chilies Crab again.
